ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարի մամուլի խոսնակ Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը մանրամասներ է ներկայացրել հայ-ռուսական համատեղ զորամիավորման մասին համաձայնագրի վերաբերյալ:

Տավուշի մարզում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանն ասաց, որ այդ համաձայնագրով նոր զորամիավորում չի ստեղծվում: 

«Խոսքն այս դեպքում Հայաստանում գտնվող ռուսական ռազմաբազայի ստորաբաժանում ների մասին է, որին որոշակի իրավիճակներում միանալու է նաև հայկական զինված ուժերի 5-րդ բանակային կորպուսը»,- ընդգծեց Հովհաննիսյանը:

Նա հավելեց, որ զորամիավորման հրամանատարը խաղաղ պայմաններում գեներալ-մայոր Անդրանիկ Մակարյանն է, իսկ պատերազմական իրավիճակում երկու երկրների գերագույն-գլխավոր հրամանատարները միասին որոշելու են զորամիավորման հրամանատարության և կառավարման հարցերը: 

Ռուսաստանի և Հայաստանի ռազմական գերատեսչությունները նոյեմբերի 30-ին ստորագրել են երկու երկրների միավորված զորախմբի մասին համաձայնագիրը: Փաստաթուղթը ստորագրել են Հայաստանի պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը և Ռուսաստանի ռազմական գերատեսչության ղեկավար բանակի գեներալ Սերգեյ Շոյգուն: Ավելի վաղ՝ նոյեմբերի 14-ին, ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը հավանություն էր տվել և հանձնարարել էր Հայաստանի հետ ստորագրել հավաքական անվտանգության կովկասյան տարածաշրջանում երկու երկրների միավորված զորախմբի մասին համաձայնագրի նախագիծը, որը «համարժեք հակազդում կապահովի զինված հարձակմանը, ինչպես նաև կողմերի անվտանգության մյուս մարտահրավերներին ու սպառնալիքներին»:
