Ի հիշատակ և որպես երախտիք Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի Գյումրի կատարած այցի,  այցից ուղիղ մեկ տարի անց  Գյումրիում բացվեց հիշատակի կոթող-հուշարձան:

Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Գյումրու «Սև Բերդ» ամրոցի տարածքում քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանի նախաձեռնությամբ հունիսի 25-ին բացվեց կոթողը, որն իրենից ներկայացնում է փակ խորան, որտեղ տեղադրված է այն նույն սեղանը, որի վրա  ձեռամբ Նորին Սրբություն Ֆրանցիսկոս Սրբազան Պապի  մատուցվել է  Սուրբ և Անմահ Պատարագը: Տեղադրված են նաև  բեմում դրված խաչքարը  և Սրբազան Պապի այցի մասին պատմող լուսանկարներ: Հուշակոթողի բացման պատիվը տրվեց Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանին, Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու Շիրակի թեմի առաջնորդ Միքայել եպիսկոպոս Աջապահյանին և Հայաստանի, Վրաստանի, Ռուսաստանի և Արևելյան Եվրոպայի հայ կաթողիկեների առաջնորդ Ռաֆայել արքեպիսկոպոս Մինասյանին:

«Հռոմի Պապը այցը Գյումրի պատմական է: Քահանայապետի Գյումրի այցն անխոս կապված է Շիրակում կաթողիկե մեծ համայնքի հետ և պետք է այդ օրը հիշվի»,- իր խոսքում նշեց Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանը:

«Ուղիղ մեկ տարի առաջ Գյումրիում իրադարձություն էր: Գյումրու կենտրոնական հրապարակում՝ Գյումրու երկու սուրբ եկեղեցիների միջև, պատարագ մատուցվեց Պապի ձեռամբ:  Բոլորս՝ անկախ մեր դավանական պատկանելությունից, հուզումնառատ օր ապրեցինք, և այսօր մեր քաղաքապետը փորձեց մեզ վերհուշի բերել և մեկ տարի հետո այս հուշակոթողը բացեց որպեսզի ընդմիշտ հիշվի այդ այցը: Հռոմի սրբազան քահանայապետը չեկավ միայն կաթողիկե համայնքի համար, այլ եկավ նաև իր եղբայրական սերն արտահայտելու առաքելական եկեղեցու հետևորդների մեծ բանականին: Այն իրադարձությունը, որ տեղի ունեցավ, բոլորինս է և այս հուշակոթողն էլ բոլորինս է»,-իր խոսքում նշեց թեմակալ առաջնորդը:

Գյումրու Վարդանանց հրապարակում 2016 թվականի հունիսի 25-ին Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապի կողմից մատուցվեց Սուրբ Պատարագ, որին աղոթակցեց  Ամենայն Հայոց Գարեգին Բ կաթողիկոսը, համապատարագեցին Հայ կաթողիկե եկեղեցու կաթողիկոս-պատրիարք տեր Գրիգոր եպիսկոպոս Կապրոյանը, ինչպես նաեւ Հայաստանում հայ կաթողիկեների առաջնորդ Ռաֆայել արքեպիսկոպոս Մինասյանը: Պատարագը լատինական ծեսով էր` ուղեկցվելով նաև հայկական շարականներով:

«26 մետր երկարությամբ   և   12  մետր խորությամբ   խորանը տեղադրվելու է Թորոսի կաթողիկե համայնքին պատկանող ճամբարի տարածքում՝  շրջապատված 50 խաչքարերով՝ դառնալով ևս մեկ սրբատեղի»,-  լրագրողներին տեղեկացրեց Ռաֆայել արքեպիսկոպոս Մինասյանը:
