Մեղրիի ազատ տնտեսական գոտին բիզնեսը զարգացնելու շատ լավ հարթակ է՝ հաշվի առնելով մեր երկրի հնարավորությունները: Այդ մասին Մեղրիի ազատ տնտեսական գոտու բացման ժամանակ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը՝ ավելացնելով, որ ազատ տնտեսական գոտի բացելը նույնիսկ գործի կեսն էլ չէ, դա պահանջում է ռեգուլյար աշխատանք:

«Մեր մտադրություններն ու տրամադրությունը բավական լուրջ է, որովհետեւ մենք վստահ ենք, որ այն պայմանները, որ ստեղծվելու են Մեղրիի ազատ տնտեսական գոտում և այն հնարավորությունները, որ ունի մեր երկիրը, նկատի ունեմ տնտեսական ռեժիմները, որ մենք ունենք ԵԱՏՄ-ի հետ, Եվրամիության հետ, մեր հարևան Իրանի հետ, այլ երկրների հետ, շատ լավ հարթակ է, որպեսզի բիզնեսը զարգանա»,- ասաց վարչապետը՝ ավելացնելով, որ տնտեսական գոտում նախատեսվում է ակտիվացնել Իրանի հետ սահմանային առևտուրը, զբոսաշրջությունը, ակնկալվում է, որ իրանցի գործընկերները տեղակայվեն այնտեղ, որպեսզի դուրս գան և Եվրամիության, և ԵԱՏՄ շուկաներ:

«Ակնկալում ենք նաև, որ մեր գործընկերներից կգան և, նախնական պայմանավորվածություն ունենք, որ կտեղակայվեն այստեղ, որպեսզի գնան Իրան աշխատեն: Ես վստահ եմ, որ ազատ տնտեսական գոտին ունի շատ լավ հեռանկարներ: Չնայած տրամադրությունը շատ բարձր է, որ այսօր հայտարարվում է ազատ տնտեսական գոտու ռեժիմը բացելու մասին, սակայն իսկական աշխատանքը հիմա է սկսվում»,- ընդգծեց  նա՝ ավելացնելով. «Գոհ եմ, որ սկսվեց աշխատանքը: Հիմա էկոնոմիկայի նախարարը և նրա թիմը լինելու են շատ հաճելի «պրիցելի» տակ»:

Դեկտեմբերին 15-ին, ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանի մասնակցությամբ, տրվել է «Մեղրի» ազատ տնտեսական գոտու գործունեության մեկնարկը: Այստեղ գործող տնտեսվարողները կազատվեն շահութահարկից, ավելացված արժեքի հարկից, ակցիզային հարկից և մաքսատուրքերից` վճարելով միայն եկամտային հարկ:

Ազատ տնտեսական գոտու հնարավորությունները հնարավորինս օգտագործելու համար թույլատրվել է ոլորտային լայն ընդգրկվածություն. ներկայացված կլինեն գյուղատնտեսության, մշակող արդյունաբերության, առևտրի, փոխադրումների և պահեստային տնտեսության, զբոսաշրջության և այլ ոլորտներ:
