Վրաստանի նախագահ Գեորգի Մարգվելաշվիլին հայտարարել է, որ Բելառուսի հետ հարաբերություններում «մեծ ռեսուրս» է տեսնում, փոխանցում է Sputnik Georgia-ն: 

«Ես հնարավորություն ունեմ ձեզ ընդունելու բարեկամական Վրաստանում եւ երկարացնելու այն հարաբերությունները, որոնք գոյություն ունեն մեր ժողովուրդների միջեւ: Մենք միասին հավաքվելու եւ ի բարօրություն մեր քաղաքացիների աշխատելու հնարավորություն ունենք»,- ասել է Մարգվելաշվին Թբիլիսիում՝ նախքան Բելառուսի նախագահ Ալեքսանդր Լուկաշենկոյի հետ առանձին հանդիպումը:

Լուկաշենկոն երկօրյա պաշտոնական այցով Թբիլիսի էր ժամանել մարտի 22-ին: Նախագահները նախ բանակցություններ են վարել դեմ առ դեմ, ապա ընդլայնված ձեւաչափով: Նույն օր ստորագրվել են տասնյակ համաձայնագրեր՝ ուղղված 2 երկրների համագործակցության խորացմանը գյուղատնտեսության, կրթության եւ բանկային ոլորտներում
