Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի միջոցառումներոի շրջանակում ապրիլի 24-ին հայտնի փաստաբան, միջազգային իրավունքի մասնագետ Ջեֆրի Ռոբերտսոնը հանդես կգա դասախոսությամբ: Ինչպես հաղորդում է Armenia.com.au-ն, միջոցառումը, որ նախաձեռնել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի միջոցառումները համակարգող Ավստրալիայի հանձնախումբը, դասախոսությունը կկայանա Սիդնեյի հանրահայտ օպերայի շենքում: Հանձնախմբի անդամ Վաչե Ղահրամանյանը կարեւորել է հանգամանքը, որ Ռոբերտսոնը իրավական առումով խոսելու է Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին եւ այդ կերպ հարգելու 1,5 միլիոն անմեղ նահատակների հիշատակը:

Ջեֆրի Ռոբերտսոնն Ավստրալիայում հայտնի փաստաբան է, որ զբաղվում է մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությամբ: Նա նաեւ ՄԱԿ-ի ռազմական հանցագործությունների հարցերով դատավորն է: Նախորդ տարի նա հեղինակել է «Անհանգստացնող ցեղասպանություն. ո՞վ է հիշում հայերի ցեղասպանությունը» գիրքը, որը տպագրվել է Ramdom House հրատարակչատանը: Ջեֆրի Ռոբերտսոնն իրավական բոլոր փաստարկներով ապացուցում է, որ1915թ. կատարվածը Ցեղասպանություն է:

Ռոբերտսոնի գիրքը լուրջ դեր է խաղում եւ կարող է մեծ ազդեցություն ունենալ հատկապես այն ժխտողական քաղաքականության վրա, որն արդեն տարիներ շարունակ պահպանում է Միացյալ Թագավորությունը: ՀՅԴ Հայ դատի Ավստրալիայի հանձնախմբի ղեկավար Վաչե Ղահրամանյանի գնահատմամբ` գիրքը մեծ ճանապարհ է հարթելու, որպեսզի փոխի Ավստրալիայի ղեկավարության դիրքորոշումը Հայոց ցեղասպանության առնչությամբ: Այս տարի հունվարի 28-ին Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դաըտարանում «Դողու Փերինչեքն ընդդեմ Շվեյցարիայի» գործով դատական լսումների ժամանակ Ռոբերտսոնը ներկայացրել է հայկական պատվիրակությունն ու ծավալուն ելույթ ունեցել: Ելույթում նա նշել է, որ 1915 թվականին Օսմանյան կառավարության նպատակը, ինչպես Բեռլինին ներկայացրել էր այդ երկրում Գերմանիայի դեսպան Վոլֆ Մետտերնիխը, «հայկական հարցի վերացումն էր՝ հայ ժողովրդի ոչնչացման միջոցով»:
