Հնդկաստանի հյուսիսում գտնվող ՈՒթար Փրադեշի նահանգի բնակիչը փորձել Է ամուսնանալ օձի հետ, հաղորդում Է  The Daily Mirror-ը: 27-ամյա Սանդիպ Պատելը համոզված Էր, որ կոբրան անցյալ կյանքում գեղեցիկ աղջիկ Է եղել, իսկ այժմ սիրահարվել Է իրեն:

Ամուսնության արարողությանը, որն անցկացվել Է տեղի տաճարներից մեկում, եկել Էր ավելի քան 12 հազար մարդ: Սակայն հարսանիքը կասեցվել Է ոստիկանության աշխատակիցների կողմից:

Մտնելով տաճար՝ ոստիկանները Պատելին ու արարողությանը ներկա գտնվող նրա հորը ձերբակալել են հասարակական կարգը խանգարելու համար: Նշվում Է, որ հյուրերը հիասթափված Էին ձերբակալությունից, եւ իրավակարգի աշխատակիցներն ստիպված են եղել օժանդակ ուժեր կանչել, որպեսզի նրանց ցրեն իրենց տները:
