Ադրբեջանցի քաղաքագետ Զարդուշտ Ալիզադեն հայտարարել է, որ Ադրբեջանը ոչինչ չի շահելու Իրանի դեմ պատժամիջոցների վերացումից, եւ տարածաշրջանում աշխարհաքաղաքական փոփոխությունները ոչ մի լավ բան չեն խոստանում Բաքվին:

Minval.az-ին տված հարցազրույցում Ալիզադեն ասել է, որ պատժամիջոցների վերացումից հետո Իրանը դառնալու է տարածաշրջանի ամենախոշոր խաղացողը, քանի որ 2500 տարեկան եւ էներգակիրներով հարուստ այդ պետությունը հանդիսանում է տարածաշրջանում քաղաքականապես ամենակայուն երկիրը:

Անդրադառնալով նման զարգացումներից հետո Ադրբեջանի ապագային, Ալիզադեն դրական է գնահատել կայուն եւ զարգացող Իրանի հարեւանությունը, միաժամանակ նշելով, որ Ադրբեջանը կարող է զրկվել Իրանի հետ համագործակցության հեռանկարից, քանի որ երկրի տնտեսությունը մենաշնորհած իշխանությունը մտածում է միայն այն մասին, թե ինչպես վաճառի ժողովրդին պատկանող նավթն ու գազը եւ փողերը դնի սեփական գրպանը: Բացի այդ, ըստ նրա` հենց Իրանը վերածվի նավթային շուկայի, նավթի գները ուժեղ ազդեցության տակ կհայտնվեն, ինչով մակաբույծ դարձած ադրբեջանական իշխանությունը կկանգնեն լուրջ խնդիրների առջեւ:

Անդրադառնալով տասնյակ տարիներ էներգակիրների վաճառքից գոյացած արտարժույթի պաշարները նավթի համաշխարհային գների կտրուկ անկումից եւ մանաթի արժեզրկումից հետո արագորեն նվազելու միտմանը, ադրբեջանցի քաղաքագետն ասել է. «Այն բանից հետո, երբ ադրբեջանցի օլիգարխները կխժռեն բոլոր պաշարները, կնետվեն իրար միս ուտելու, իսկ հետո հայացքը կուղղեն ժողովրդին, որն, արդյունքում, կաղքատանա: Մեր ժողովուրդը ապստամբելու, արդարություն հաստատելու ունակություն չունի: Նա չի կարող իշխանության բերել խելացի մարդկանց: Եվ այն բանից հետո, երբ բոլոր պաշարներ ը «կուտվեն», մարդիկ ուղղակի կճողոպրեն արտասահման՝ մի կտոր հաց գտնելու: Կյանքի նկատմամբ նման վերաբերմունքով, նման բարոյականությամբ եւ արժանապատվությամբ ազգի համար, ցավոք, որեւէ հեռանկար ես չեմ տեսնում: Գոյություն ունեցող վերնախավը բացարաձակապես անհամազոր է, այն ունակ չէ լուծել ժողովրդի առաջ կանգնած խնդիրները»:
