Միացյալ Նահանգների Blue origin ընկերությունը, որը պատկանում Է The Washington Post թերթի սեփականատեր Ջեֆրի Բեզոսին, հայտարարել Է իր կողմից ստեղծվող New Shepard ենթաուղեծրային տիեզերանավի համար BE-3 շարժիչի մշակումն ավարտելու մասին: Տիեզերանավի փորձարկման թռիչքները պլանավորվում Է սկսել արդեն այս տարի, հաղորդում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով ընկերության նախագահ Ռոբ Մեյերսոնին:

New Shepard-ը նախատեսված Է 100 կիլոմետր բարձրության վրա թռիչքների համար: Երեք մարդուց բաղկացած անձնակազմով տիեզերանավը կարող Է տեղավորել մի քանի ուղևոր կամ օգտակար բեռ: Այն կմեկնարկի և վայրԷջք կկատարի Վան Հոռն քաղաքի (Տեխասի նահանգ) մոտ, որտեղ Էլ գտնվում Է Blue origin-ի կենտրոնակայանը:

«Շարժիչը պատրաստ Է թռիչքի և տիեզերական այլ նպատակի համար»,- լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է Մեյերսոնը: Նրա խոսքով՝ ընկերությունն առայժմ ձեռնամուխ չի եղել New Shepard-ի տոմսերի վաճառքին և նույնիսկ տվյալներ չի ներկայացրել դրանց հնարավոր արժեքի մասին: Նախքան այդ թռիչքներն սկսելը տիեզերանավը տասնյակ անգամներ կփորձարկվի անօդաչու ռեժիմով:
