«Որքան մեծ է Թուրքիայի հիստերիան, այնքան հաջողված կարելի է համարել միջոցառումը»,-«Քրիստոնեա-ժողովրդական վերածնունդ» կուսակցության նախագահ Սոս Գիմիշյանը նման գնահատական տվեց օրերս արտաքին քաղաքականության մեջ իրար հաջորդող եւ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչմանն ուղղված միջոցառումներում գրանցած ձեռքբերումների շարքին:

«Հռոմի պապի կողմից հնչեցված խոսքերն ու այդ պատարագը շատ լուրջ հարված հասցրեց Թուրքիային` Հայոց ցեղասպանության նկատմամբ ունեցած դիրքորոշումների հարցում: Հռոմի պապի այս հայտարարությունը մեծ իմպուլս տվեց ողջ աշխարհին` Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման, հայության համախմբման, այդ հարցի նկատմամբ բոլոր ազգերի եւ ժողովուրդների ուշադրության կենտրոնացմանը: Հենց այս ամենի պատճառով էլ Թուրքիայի կողմից նման արձագանքներ եղան ու դեռ կլինեն: Ես` որպես հայ, ինձ շատ լավ էի զգում եւ հպարտանում էի, որ պատարագն ամբողջ աշխարհի հայությունը եւ մարդկության մեծ մասը տեսավ: Պարզ է, որ Թուրքիան նման երեւույթները կցանկանար կանխարգելել: Ասեմ, որ եթե մեզ հաջողվի մինչեւ ապրիլի 24-ը նմանատիպ «հարվածների շարքով» հանդես գալ, ապա այդ ամենը հուժկու եւ մեծագույն նշանակություն կունենա: Այս գործընթացները ոչ միայն Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման, այլեւ ամբողջ աշխարհի ցեղասպանությունների դեմ են ուղղված »,- նշեց Ս. Գիմիշյանը:

Ցեղասպանությունը քաղաքականության մեջ որպես խաղաքարտ օգտագործման մասին էլ «Քրիստոնեա-ժողովրդական վերածնունդ» կուսակցության նախագահն ընդգծեց. «Գաղտնիք չէ, որ այսօր կան ուժեր, որոնք Ցեղասպանությունն ուզում են որպես գործիք օգտագործել ինչ-ինչ աշխարհաքաղաքական խնդիրներ լուծելու համար: Քայլերը, որոնք տեղի են ունենում այս մի քանի օրվա ընթացքում, ոչ միայն նշանակալի են ողջ մարդկության համար, այլև առանձնակի մեծ նշանակություն ունեն հայերիս համար. այս ամենն, իհարկե, մեծ հարված է Թուրքիային»:

Հարցին` արդյո՞ք Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչմանն ուղղված վերջին քայլերն արտաքին ճիշտ քաղաքականության արդյունք են, Գիմիշյանը նշեց. «Մեր արտաքին քաղաքականության ցանկություններից ելնելով չէ, որ այս հարցի շուրջ հաջողություններ ենք գրանցում, սրանք տիեզերական գորոծողություններ են, առանց Աստծո ողորմության նման բաներ տեղի չեն ունենում: Մեր արտաքին քաղաքականությունն այս կարգի խնդիրներ չի կարող լուծել, դա մարդկության եւ ամբողջ հայության շնորհքն է, չեմ կարծում, որ այս հարցում մեր իշխանություների ներդրումը մեծ է»:
