Սեյսմիկ պաշտպանության ծառայության դիտացանցն ապրիլի 16-ից մինչև 22-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության տարածքում գրանցել է 3 բալ և ավելի ուժգնությամբ երկու երկրաշարժ: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՍՊԾ գործակալությունից, ապրիլի 19-ին տեղի ունեցած 3-4 բալ ուժգնությամբ (մագնիտուդ 2.7) երկրաշարժի էպիկենտրոնը գտնվում էր Սպիտակ քաղաքից 6 կմ հյուսիս- արևմուտք: Հաջորդ օրը Երևան քաղաքից 6 կմ դեպի արևմուտք գրանցվել է 3 բալ ուժգնությամբ ստորգետնյա ցնցում, որն զգացվել է ինչպես մայրաքաղաքում, այնպես էլ Արմավիրի մարզի Մերձավան և Փարաքար գյուղերում:

Տարածաշրջանում նույն ժամանակահատվածում գրանցվել է 3 բալ և ավելի ուժգնությամբ 6 երկրաշարժ, որից չորսը' 3 բալ ուժգնությամբ (մագնիտուդ 2.3 - 2.6), Թուրքիայի Վան քաղաքի տարածքում: Ապրիլի 16-ին Իրանի Մերենդ քաղաքից 24 կմ դեպի հյուսիս-արևմուտք գտնվող էպիկենտրոնով երկրաշարժի ուժգնությունւ կազմել է 4 բալ (մագնիտուդ 3.1): Ապրիլի 18-ին Թուրքիայի Հորասան քաղաքից 28 կմ դեպի հյուսիս-արևմուտք տեղի է ունեցել 3 բալ (մագնիտուդ 2.5) ուժգնությամբ երկրաշարժ:

Տարածաշրջանից դուրս ապրիլի 16-ից մինչև 22-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում գրանցվել է 6 և ավելի մագնիտուդով 5 երկրաշարժ: Ապրիլի 16-ին հունական Կրետե կղզու արևելյան ափամերձ գոտում տեղի է ունեցել երկրաշարժ, որն ունեցել է 6 մագնիտուդ ուժգնություն: Երկրաշարժն զգացվել է Հունաստանի մի շարք շրջաններում: Հաջորդ օրը 6.5 մագնիտուդով սեյսմիկ իրադարձություն է գրանցվել Ֆիջի կղզիների մոտ, զոհեր և ավերածություններ չկան: Ապրիլի 20-ին Թայվանի արևելյան ափամերձ տարածքում (Արևելաչինական ծով) տեղի է ունեցել 6.4 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժ: Դրա հետևանքով Սինբեյ քաղաքի ենթակայանում առաջացած պայթյունից հրդեհ է բռնկվել, արդյունքում զոհվել է 84-ամյա բնակիչ, մեկ այլ բնակիչ հոսպիտալացվել է, ճեպընթացների աշխատանքը չի ընդհատվել: Ինչպես Թայվանում, այնպես էլ ճապոնական Միյակո կղզում հայտարարված ցունամիի վտանգը հերքվել է: Ստորգետնյա ցնցումները թույլ զգացվել են Հուալիեն, Թայբեյ քաղաքներում, նաև ճապոնական Օկինավա քաղաքում: Այդ օրը նույն էպիկենտրոնային գոտում րոպեների տարբերությամբ տեղի է ունեցել ևս 2 ուժեղ երկրաշարժ՝ համապատասխանաբար 6 և 6.1 մագնիտուդ ուժգնությամբ:
