Այսօր արդեն հպարտությամբ կարող ենք արձանագրել, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի ոգեկոչման արարողությունները անցան պետական բարձր մակարդակով` կազմակերպված և համակարգված: Հայաստանը աշխարհի առաջ կանգնեց որպես լուրջ, պատասխանատու և առաջադեմ մարդկության հետ քաղաքակրթության լեզվով խոսող երկիր: Թե պետական բարձրաստիճան ղեկավարների և թե սովորական քաղաքացիների մակարդակում մենք արեցինք մեծ և գրագետ աշխատանք: Աշխատանք, որն իր հետքը թողեց: Դրա մասին են վկայում միջազգային հանրության արձագանքները, համաշխարհային առաջատար ու լուրջ լրատվամիջոցների անդրադարձերը Հայաստանին, աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներում բազմաթիվ օտարազգիների կողմից հայերին իրենց աջակցությունը հայտնող քաղաքացիները, ովքեր մեզ հետ ցավեցին, հիշեցին ու հասկացան, վստահ եմ նաև ազդվեցին ու հուզվեցին, իսկ սրանք զգացումներ են, որոնք ունեակ են մարդու ներաշխարհը փոխելու:

Մենք աշխարհի ուշադրությունը սևեռեցինք մեզ վրա ու պատվով կանգնեցինք աշխարհի առաջ: Ցույց տվեցինք, որ սգում ենք, բայց չենք ատում, ատելությունը չենք դարձրել մեր կոլեկտիվ հիշողության հիմքը, պատրաստ ենք Թուրքիայի հետ քաղաքակիրթ լեզվով երկխոսության: Հայաստանում պետական որևէ գործչի ելույթում ու մեկնաբանություններում մենք չտեսանք որևէ ագրեսիա, վիրավորանք, սպառնալիք ու շանտաժ ուղղված Թուրքիային: Սա թերևս ամենակարևոր ձեռքբերումներից մեկն է, որն ունի Հայաստան պետությունը:

Սգացինք, բայց միաժամանակ ապրելու հպարտ ժպիտն ու պատրաստակամությունը չպակասեց մեր դեմքից: Մենք որևէ սև քարոզչություն չարեցինք Թուրքիայի դեմ, բայց մեր գրագետ ու ցիվիլ կեցվածքով մարդկության առաջ ի ցույց դրեցինք իր իսկ կեղծիքների մեջ խեղված Թուրքիայի կերպարը: Մենք ոչինչ չարեցինք հատուկ, բայց աշխարհը տեսավ, որ երեկ Թուրքիայում իսկական կրկես էր, արհեստական մթնոլորտ, որն ավելի շուտ գաղջ էր, քան պատմական նշանակություն ունեցող պահ: Բոլորը տեսան, որ Էրդողանը մի կողմից պատմական ստեր է հրամցնում, իսկ մյուս կողմից ուշքն ու միտքը Հայաստանի կողմն էր` որևէ պահ բաց չթողնելով ագրեսիվ ու շանտաժ հայտարարություններ անելը: Ասել կուզեմ, որ ավելացնելու բան չունեմ, Գալիպոլիի խնջույքը ամեն ինչ իր տեղը դրեց:
