Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսությունն ապրիլի 28-ին դատական հայց է ներկայացրել Թուրքիայի Սահմանադրական դատարան՝ պահանջելով Սիսն իր պատմական կաթողիկոսարանին վերադարձնել: Այս մասին  տեղեկացանք Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսության պաշտոնական կայքից: «Հայոց ցեղասանության 100-րդ տարելիցի առիթով մեր ազգային պահանջատիրությանն ավելի գործնական արտահայտություն տալու հեռանկարով Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա Կաթողիկոսն իր պատգամների մեջ հաճախակի հիշեցրել է հատուցման վրա շեշտը դնելու հրամայականը: Այս շրջանակներում Սիսի կաթողիկոսարականի և ազգապատկան ու եկեղեցապատկան տարածքների վերադարձը կարող է կարևոր քայլ դառնալ՝ համարվելով մեր ժողովրդի տարածքները վերադարձնելու և ոտնահարված իրավունքները վերականգնելու առաջնորդող: Ահա այս հավատքով ու հանձնառությամբ Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Կաթողիկոսությունը որոշեց դատ բացել Թուրքիայի Սահմանադրական դատարանում:

Նախորդ երկու տարիների ընթացքում դատական պատրաստության աշխատանքին միացել է թուրքական ու միջազգային դատավարական օրենքների մասնագետներից բաղկացած հանձնախումբ՝ Վեհափառ Հայրապետի գլխավորությամբ: Վաղը Վաշինգտոնում և առաջիկայում Ժնևում մամուլի ասուլիսներ կկազմակերպվեն մեր պահանջն օտար շրջանականերում ու միջազգային համայնքին ծանոթացնելու համար: Այս առիթով Վեհափառ Հայրապետն անհրաժեշտ բացատրություններ կտա մեր ժողովրդին»,-ասված է կաթողիկոսության հայտարարության մեջ:
