Երեկ «Ժողովուրդ»-ը տեղեկություններ էր ստացել, որ ԲՀԿ նախկին առաջնորդ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը հանդիպում է ունենալու աբովյանցիների հետ՝ Աբովյանի քաղաքապետի ընտրություններում իր թեկնածուին ներկայացնելու համար:

Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ «ժողովին» հրավիրվել էին այն մարդիկ, որոնք իրենց «թաղերում» կարող են ձայն «հավաքել»՝ «լույսի մարդուց» մինչեւ «ժեկի» աշխատող: Սակայն մեկ ժամ հետո Գ. Ծառուկյանի «թեկնածու» Վահագն Գեւորգյանը հավաքվածներին տեղեկացրել էր, թե Ծառուկյանը շտապ գործ ունի եւ չի կարող ներկայանալ հանդիպմանը:

Եւ այսպես, «Ժողովուրդ»-ը տեղեկացավ, որ հանդիպումը տեղի էր ունենալու Աբովյանում՝ ԲՀԿ-ի նախկին կենտրոնական գրասենյակում: Մինչ այդ, սակայն, Գ. Ծառուկյանի ՙհովանավորյալը՚` Վահագն Գեւորգյանը: Նա անմիջապես նկատեց լրագրողներին, որոնք հավաքված սպասում էին Գ. Ծառուկյանի գալուն: Ուղիղ մեկ ժամ անց «Ժողովուրդ»-ը նկատեց, որ հավաքվածները գրասենյակից հեռանում են: Նրանցից մի քանիսը «Ժողովուրդ»-ին տեղեկացրին, որ իրենց ասել են` առայժմ գնացեք. «Ասեցին՝ Ծառուկյանը շտապ գործ ա ունեցել ու գնացել ա ըտեղ, ասեցին գնացեք, հետո կզանգենք ձեզ, օր, ժամ կասենք, կգաք»,-մեզ հետ զրույցում ասաց մի պապիկ, որը շտապ գրասենյակից հեռացավ»:
