Բելգիայում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի միջոցառումների շրջանակներում ապրիլի 28-ին Բրյուսելի Մայր տաճարում կայացավ Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու կողմից կազմակերպված հիշատակի էկումենիկ արարողություն-աղոթք` նախագահությամբ Արևմտյան Եվրոպայի Հայրապետական պատվիրակի Բենելյուքսի փոխանորդ, հոգեշնորհ Տեր Զատիկ Վարդապետ Ավետիքյանի և բազմաթիվ քրիստոնյա քույր եկեղեցին երի երկու տասնյակից ավելի առաջնորդների և ներկայացուցիչների մասնակցությամբ:

Արարողությանը ներկա էին Բելգիայի հասարակական-քաղաքական շրջանակների ներկայացուցիչներ, Բրյուսելում գործող դիվանագիտական առաքելությունների ղեկավարներ և հայ ու քրիստոնյա այլ համայնքների ավելի քան հազար ներկայացուցիչներ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԳՆ մամուլի եւ տեղեկատվության վարչությունից, արարողության ընթացքում Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակի ոգեկոչման խոսքով հանդես եկան և օրվա իրենց պատգամը փոխանցեցին Հռոմի Պապի առաքելական նվիրակ, Նորին Գերազանցություն կարդինալ Ջասինտո Բեռլոկոն, Կոնստանդնոպոլսի Տիեզերական պատրիարքի Բենելյուքսի ներկայացուցիչ, Մետրոպոլիտ Աթենագորաս արքեպիսկոպոսը, Սանտ Էջիդիո միջազգային քրիտոնեական կազմակերպության համաշխարհային փոխնախագահ, տիկին Հիլդ Քիբումը և ուրիշներ: Օրվա քար ոզով հանդես եկավ Հռոմի կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու Բրուսել-Մալին արքեպիսկոպոսարանի ներկայացուցիչ Ժան Կոկրոլ եպիսկոպոսը: Ներկաները մեկ րոպե լռությամբ հարգեցին Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը:

Միջոցառմանը ողջույնի խոսքով հանդես եկավ Բելգիայում ՀՀ դեսպան, ԵՄ-ում ՀՀ առաքելության ղեկավար Թաթուլ Մագարյանը, ով մասնավորապես նշեց, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ աշխարհի տարբեր եկեղեցիներում այս օրերին կազմակեպվող ոգեկոչման էկումենիկ արարողությունները և հարգանքի տուրքն անմեղ զոհերի հիշատակին վկայում են Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման և դատապարտման հարցում քրիստոնյա քույր եկեղեցիների միասնական ոգու մասին:

Արարողության ընթացքում Բրյուսելի «Երևան» լարային քառյակի կատարմամբ հնչեցին Կոմիտաս վարդապետի հոգևոր և ազգային ստեղծագործությունները:
