Իրաքյան ուժերն «Իսլամական պետության» հսկողությունից Դիյալա մարզի որոշ տարածքներ են ազատագրել:

Ինչպես հաղորդում են վկայակոչելով արաբական լրատվամիջոցները, այս մասին հայտարարել է Իրաքի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը: Բուհրիզ շրջանի տարածքներն ազատագրվել են ԻՊ-ի ահաբեկիչների հետ թեժ բախումների արդյունքում: Բնակիչները ցնծությամբ ընդունել են բանակին և երախտագիտություն հայտնել զինվորներին:

Իրաքյան բանակը ցեղախմբերի հետ համագործակցությամբ սկսել է ազատագրել Սալահ ադ Դին մարզի Հադիսա-Բայջի ճանապարհը: Պաշտպանության նախարարությունը տեղեկացրել է, որ ռազմական գործողությունների ընթացքում ԻՊ-ի ակնառու ներկայացուցիչներ են սպանվել, որոշներին հաջողվել է փախուստի դիմել:

Նախօրեին իրաքյան ուժերը ԻՊ-ի 47 ահաբեկչի են ոչնչացրել, այդ թվում՝ դիպուկահարների, պայթեցվել են նրանց 13 թաքստոցները, վնասազրեծվել են մեծ թվով պայթուցիկ սարքավորումներ:

«Իսլամական պետություն» իսլամիստական ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունը գործում է Սիրիայի և Իրաքի տարածքներում: 2013 թ. ապրիլին «Ալ Կաիդա»-ի երկու ճյուղերի միավորման արդյունքում ձևավորվել է խմբավորում՝ «Իրաքի և Լևանտի իսլամական պետություն» անվանումով, որի նպատակն էր կազմավորել իսլամական էմիրություն Լիբանանի, Սիրիայի և Իրաքի տարածքներում: 2014 թ. հունիսի 29-ին ԻԼԻՊ-ը Սիրիայի և Իրաքի գրաված տարածքներում հայտարարել է Իսլամական խալիֆաթ հիմնելու մասին, որի խալիֆ է նշանակվել Աբու Բաքր ալ Բաղդադին: Այնուհետև կազմակերպության անվանումը փոխելու որոշում է ընդունվել, և այն վերանվանվել է «Իսլամական պետություն»: Խմբավորման կազմում կռվում են 80 երկրի ապստամբներ:
