Մեծ շուքով ու հանդիսավորությամբ մայիսի 8-ին նշվել է Երկրապահ կամավորականների միության օրը: Օր, որը խորհրդանշում է նաև Շուշիի ազատագրումը: Եվ, ավանդույթի համաձայն, Արցախյան ազատամարտում զոհված կամավորականների հիշատակին հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելու նպատակով այդ օրը ԵԿՄ վարչության շենքը և Եռաբլուր զինվորական պանթեոնը կրկին բազմամարդ էին:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Երկրապահ կամավորականների միության օրվա առթիվ ԵԿՄ վարչության շենքում կազմակերպված հանդիսավոր միջոցառմանը մասնակցել են ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը, ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը, Երևանի քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը, ԵԿՄ վարչության նախագահ Մանվել Գրիգորյանը, բարձրաստիճան այլ պաշտոնյաններ, զինվորականներ, մտավորականներ և այլք:

Օրը կրկնակի տոն է երկրապահների համար, քանի որ ավելի քան մեկ տարվա աշխատանքներից հետո ԵԿՄ վարչության շենքի բակում հանդիսավորությամբ բացվել է պատանի երկրապահների ուսուցման նոր կենտրոնը, ֆիզպատրաստության հրապարակը, թանգարանը, գրադարանը և աղոթատեղին: Թանգարանի բակում ԵԿՄ վարչության նախագահ Մանվել Գրիգորյանի նախաձեռնությամբ հիմնադրվել է նաև հայ ժողովրդի պատմական բոլոր իրադարձություններն ու այդ ընթացքում իրենց հայրենանվեր գործով անմահացած քաջարի հայորդիների սխրանքն արտացոլող խաչքարերի պուրակ, որոնց օրհնության արարողակարգից հետո բ արձրաստիճան հյուրերը ուղևորվել են Եռաբլուր զինվորական պանթեոն՝ հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելու Արցախյան ազատամարտում զոհված կամավորականների հիշատակին:

Ներկաները ծաղիկներ ու ծաղկեպսակներ են դրել զորավար Անդրանիկի, սպարապետ Վազգեն Սարգսյանի շիրմաքարերին, խոնարհվել են զոհված ազատամարտիկների հիշատակը հավերժացնող հուշակոթողի առջև:

Իր շնորհավորանքի խոսքում ԵԿՄ վարչության նախագահ Մանվել Գրիգորյանը նշել է, որ Երկրապահի օրը հայրենիքի համար մարտնչող, սահմանը պահող հայ զինվորի մեծարման օրն է: Պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանն էլ, մայիսյան հաղթանակների կապակցությամբ շնորհավորելով համայն հայությանը, ընդգծել է, որ պատերազմի դաշտում ձևավորված երկրապահ կամավորական ջոկատները, համախմբվելով մեկ ճշմարիտ գաղափարի շուրջ, փառքով են կատարել իրենց գործը` ասպարեզը թողնելով հայոց կանոնավոր բանակին և այսօր էլ շարունակում են մատաղ սերնդի հայրենասիրական դաստիարակությանն ուղղված աշխատանքները:
