Աշխատանքային այցով Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունում գտնվող Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր Մոսկվայում հանդիպում է ունեցել Եգիպտոսի Արաբական Հանրապետության Նախագահ Աբդել Ֆաթթահ Ալ-Սիսիի հետ:
Ինչպես հայտնում են ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմից՝ զրուցակիցները քննարկել են քաղաքական, տնտեսական, մշակութային և այլ ոլորտներում երկկողմ փոխգործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցեր:

Երկուստեք կարևորվել է դարավոր բարեկամության վրա հիմնված հայ-եգիպտական հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացումն ու այդ հարաբերություններին նոր լիցք հաղորդելու անհրաժեշտությունը: Երկկողմ կապերի ամրապնդման գործում նախագահները մեծ տեղ են վերապահել փոխայցելությունների ակտիվացմանը:

Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ Նախագահ Աբդել Ֆաթթահ Ալ-Սիսիի կողմից ձեռնարկված բարեփոխումները, որոնք ուղղված են երկրում կայունության հաստատմանն ու Եգիպտոսի զարգացմանը և արդեն իսկ տալիս են որոշակի արդյունքներ, հիմքեր կստեղծեն նաև հայ-եգիպտական հարաբերությունները զարգացնելու նախկին ակտիվությամբ ու արդյունավետությամբ:

Եգիպտոսի Նախագահը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ այդ հարաբերությունները և համագործակցությունը շատ ավելի մեծ զարգացում կունենան, քան նախկինում էր: Նա նշել է, որ իր երկիրը բարդ ժամանակաշրջան է անցել, և նախորդ տարվա ընթացքում Եգիպտոսում շատ բան է արվել անվտանգության ու կայունության հաստատման ուղղությամբ:

Նախագահ Աբդել Ֆաթթահ Ալ-Սիսին դրվատանքով է խոսել եգիպտահայ համայնքի մասին, նշելով, որ հայերին Եգիպտոսում մշտապես վերաբերվել են որպես եղբայրների: Հայաստանի և Եգիպտոսի նախագահները երկուստեք կարևորել են եգիպտահայ համայնքի դերը երկու երկրների միջև բարեկամության ամրապնդման գործում: Այս համատեքստում ընդգծվել է Եգիպտոսի պետականաշինության մեջ մեծ դեր ունեցած այնպիսի անհատների դերը, ինչպիսին է եգիպտահայ քաղաքական գործիչ, Եգիպտոսի առաջին վարչապետ Նուբար փաշան:

Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի շրջանակներում ընթացիկ տարում տեղի ունեցող միջոցառումներին, Մերձավոր Արևելքի ներկա իրավիճակին և տարածաշրջանային այլ խնդիրների:
