Վրաստանի՝ ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ դառնալը կախված Է միայն Վրաստանից եւ դաշինքի անդամ 28 երկրներից: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է«Գրուզիա Online»-ը, հայտարարել Է ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Ենս Ստոլտենբերգը՝ մայիսի 11-ին Բրյուսելում ելույթ ունենալով Վրաստանի նախագահ Գեորգի Մարգվելաշվիլիի հետ համատեղ անցկացված մամուլի ասուլիսում:

Այս համատեքստում Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի գլխավոր քարտուղարն ընդգծել Է, որ ուրիշ որեւԷ երկիր չի կարող վետո դնել այդ գործընթացի վրա կամ ինչ-որ կերպ միջամտել դրան:

«Մենք պաշտպանում ենք Վրաստանում իրականացվող բարեփոխումները գործընթացը եւ ընդգծում ենք իր ուղին ինքնուրույն ընտրելու յուրաքանչյուր երկրի հիմնարար իրավունքը: Այստեղ նկատի են առնվում նաեւ անվտանգության մեխանիզմները, անդամակցությունը ռազմական դաշինքին: Այն, թե Վրաստանը կդառնա արդյոք ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ, կախված Է միայն Վրաստանից եւ դաշնակից 28 երկրներից, եւ ոչ մի այլ երկիր չի կարող վետո դնել այդ գործընթացի վրա կամ ինչ-որ կերպ միջամտել դրան»,- հայտարարել Է ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը:

Նրա գնահատմամբ՝ Վրաստանը առաջընթացի Է հասնում դաշինքին ինտեգրվելու ճանապարհին: «Շարունակում ենք աշխատել այդ ուղղությամբ գոյություն ունեցող փաթեթի շրջանակներում: Վրաստանն առաջընթացի Է հասնում: Մենք հավատարիմ ենք այն գործընթացին ու այն հարցերին, որոնք քննարկել ենք Ուելսում»,- հավելել Է Ենս Ստոլտենբերգը:
