Հայաստանն ըստ «2015թ. Մարդկային կապիտալի զեկույցի» 43-րդն է 124 երկրների շարքում: Համաշխարհային տնտեսական ֆորումի կողմից ներկայացվող Մարդկային կապիտալի զեկույցը հրապարկվում է երկու տարին մեկ անգամ՝ սկսած 2013 թվականից, երբ Հայաստանն զբազեցրել է 73-րդ տեղը 122 երկրների շարքում: Չնայած մեթոդաբանության փոփոխությանը` զեկույցի գլխավոր բաղադրիչը շարունակում է մնալ մարդկային կապիտալի համաթիվը, որը ցույց է տալիս, թե ինչպես է երկիրը զարգացնում և միաժամանակ օգտագործում մարդկային կապիտալը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին «Տնտեսություն և արժեքներ» հետազոտական կենտրոնից, մարդկային կապիտալի համաթվի հիմքում ընկած են երեք հիմնական հասկացություններ` կրթությունը, զբաղվածությունը և ժողովրդագրությունը: Առաջին երկու թեմատիկ ուղղությունները դիտարկվում են հինգ տարիքային խմբեր ներկայացնող հենասյուների կտրվածքով:

Համաձայն 2015թ. զեկույցի արդյունքների` մարդկային կապիտալի համաթվով առաջատար հնգյակում են Ֆինլանդիան, Նորվեգիան, Շվեյցարիան, Կանադան և Ճապոնիան: Հայաստանը մարդկային կապիտալի համաթվով առաջատար դիրք է գրավում 55-64 և 65 և բարձր տարիքային խմբերի մեջ՝ շնորհիվ կրթության բաղադրիչի բարձր գնահատականի: Մարդկային կապիտալի համաթվով Հայաստանի դիրքերն առավել ցածր են 15-24 և 25-54 տարիքային խմբերում։ Վերջինիս գնահատականը հատկապես մտահոգիչ է, քանի որ այդ խումբը ներկայիս աշխատուժի հիմնական մասն է կազմում: 15-24 տարեկան տարիքային խմբի՝ ապագա աշխատուժի, հարաբե րականորեն ցածր դիրքը պայմանավորված է կրթական համակարգի որակի, աշխատուժի մասնակցության մակարդակի, գործազրկության մակարդակ ցուցանիշների ցածր գնահատականներով:

ԱՊՀ երկրների մեջ Ռուսաստանն առաջատար դիրք է զբաղեցնում ըստ մարդկային կապիտալի համաթվի: Հայաստանն ԱՊՀ երկրների շարքում չորրորդն է՝ զիջելով Ռուսաստանին, Ղազախստանին (37) և Ուկրաինային (31):
