25-ամյա Էմի Քեդիքին դուր էր գալիս Քլոե Քարդաշյանի ոճը։ Մի գեղեցիկ օր նա որոշեց ոճափոխություն կատարել և նմանվել Քլոեին։ Էմին ցանկացավ ոճափոխությունն սկսել սանրվածքի փոփոխությամբ՝ Քլոեի պես ներկելով մազերը։ Մազերի ներկման այս եղանակն առանձնանում է նրանով, որ մազերի արմատները մուգ երանգի են լինում, իսկ ծայրերը՝ շեկ։ Այս սանրվածքը կոչվում է «dip dye»։ Նա գնաց գեղեցկության սրահ ու խնդրեց իր մազերը ներկել Քլոեի պես։ Վարսահարդարը խնամքով շագանակագույն ներկեց նրա մազերի արմատներն ու գունաթափեց ծայրերը։

Թվում էր, թե սանրվածքը ստացված էր, սակայն երկու օր անց Էմիի մոտ այնպիսի սաստիկ ցավեր սկսվեցին, որ նրան տեղափոխեցին Լիվերփուլի հիվանդանոց։ Կնոջ դեմքն այնպես էր այտուցվել, որ նա փղի էր նմանվել, սակայն ամենասարսափելին այն է, որ մազերի ներկումից առաջացած ալերգիկ ռեակցիայի արդյունքում նրա շնչուղիները խցանվել էին։ Արդյունքում Էմիի մոտ շնչարգելություն սկսվեց։ Մի փոքր վերականգնվելուց հետո տված հարցազրույցի ընթացքում Քեդիքը նշել է.

- Ես ասես փիղ-մարդ լինեի։ Ցավն այնքան անտանելի էր։ Երեխաներս այնքան վախեցած էին, որ չէին կարողանում անգամ նայել վրաս։

Գեղեցկության սրահում նա 70 դոլար էր ծախսել այս սանրվածքի վրա, սակայն դեռ շատ ավելի ստիպված եղավ վճարել հիվանդանոցային ծախսերը հոգալու համար։ Նա երեք օր անցկացրեց հիվանդանոցում, սակայն հարկ եղավ մի ամբողջ շաբաթ սպասել, որպեսզի նրա այտուցված դեմքը նախկին տեսքը ստանար։ Էմին իր տանջանքների համար մեղադրում է վարսահարդարին, ով զլացել էր նախապես ստուգում անցկացնել՝ ներկի մի փոքր զանգված քսելով նրա ձեռքի մաշկին՝ պարզելու համար՝ արդյոք ալերգիկ ռեակցիա կառաջանար։ Գեղեցկության սրահ այցելելու հաջորդ օրը Էմիի դեմքն այնպես էր այտուցվել, որ նա անգամ աչքերը չէր կարողանում կարգին բացել։ Խեղճ կնոջ գլուխը թարախակալել էր, իսկ դեմքի մաշկից ինչ-որ անհասկանալի արտադրություն էր գալիս։
