Ժնեւում մայիսի 18-ին բացվում է Առողջապահության համաշխարհային ասամբլեայի 68-րդ նստաշրջանը:

ԱՀԿ-ի անդամ 194 պետությունների պատվիրակություններ ինն օրվա ընթացքում քննարկելու են կազմակերպության բարեփոխումը, նրա ապագա բյուջեն, վիրուսների հարուցած հիվանդությունների եւ ոչ ինֆեկցիոն հիվանդությունների դեմ պայքարելու համար առողջապահության կայուն համակարգերի ստեղծումը, ինչպես նաեւ առողջապահության խնդրահարույց ասպեկտները եւ շրջակա միջավայրի հետ նրա կապերը:

Պլանավորվում է առանձնակի ուշադրություն դարձնել Էբոլա հեմոռագիկ տենդի մահացու վիրուսի շուրջ ստեղծված իրադրությանը, որից մեկ տարուց փոքր-ինչ ավելի ժամանակաշրջանում մահացել է ավելի քան 11 հազար մարդ:

Վեհաժողովի մասնակիցները նաեւ պլանավորում են քննարկել 2015 թվականից հետո ընկած ժամանակաշրջանում կայուն զարգացման բնագավառի նպատակներն ու խնդիրները եւ առողջապահության վրա դրանց ազդեցությունը առաջիկա 15 տարում: Այսօրվա դրությամբ ձեւակերպված է 17 նպատակ եւ 169 խնդիր, որոնք պետք է այս տարվա սեպտեմբերին ընդունվեն ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայում: Բացի այդ, պատվիրակները կգնահատեն այս տարվա դեկտեմբերին Փարիզում կլիմայի փոփոխման հարցերի վերաբերյալ գլոբալ համաձայնագրի կնքման հեռանկարները:

Առողջապահության համաշխարհային ասամբլեան ԱՀԿ-ի որոշումներ ընդունող բարձրագույն մարմինն է: Ասամբլեայի հիմնական գործառույթներն են՝ Կազմակերպության քաղաքականության սահմանումը, ֆինանսական գործունեության նկատմամբ հսկողությունը եւ ծրագրային բյուջեի նախագծի հաստատումը:

Ինչպես սպասվում է, Համաշխարհային ասամբլեայի աշխատանքի առաջին օրը ելույթ կունենան ԱՀԿ-ի ղեկավար Մարգարետ Չենը եւ Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը: Առողջապահության 68-րդ համաշխարհային ասամբլեան կավարտվի մայիսի 26-ին մի շարք փաստաթղթերի ու բանաձեւերի ընդունմամբ, որոնք նպատակամղված են աշխարհում ԱՀԿ-ի գործունեության բարելավմանը, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
