«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Որդիս` Հովհաննես Չոլախյանը դատապարտվել է 11 տարի 3 ամիս ազատազրկման: Ինքը դատապարտվել է մեկ ուրիշի կատարած հանցագործության համար, հիմա հացադուլ եմ անում ՝ նախագահից ակնակալում եմ արդարության հաստատում»,-մեզ երեկ ասաց Հովհաննես Չոլախյանի մայրը` Թագուհի Չոլախյանը:

Նա նշեց, որ Հովհաննեսը նախկինում դատապարտված է եղել ու հենց այս հանգամանքն է օգնել գործը նրա գլխին «շուռ» տալու համար: Տիկին Թագուհին եւ նրա հարազատները պատմեցին, որ Հովհաննեսը երկու տարի է արդեն Սովետաշեն ՔԿՀ-ում է: Դատարանն ապացուցված է համարել, որ Հովհաննես Չոլախյանը իրացնելու նպատակով, գործով չպարզված հանգամանքներում եւ ժամանակ, ապօրինի ձեռք է բերել եւ պահել առանձնապես խոշոր չափի` 0.686 գրամ քաշով հերոին տեսակի թմրամիջոց եւ խոշոր չափի` 0.57 գրամ քաշով ամֆետամին տեսակի թմրամիջոց, որոնք 2013թ. հունվարի լույս 4-ի գիշերն իրացնելու նպատակով փոխադրվել է ՀՀ ԱՆ «Սեւան» ՔԿՀ-ի մոտ եւ նույն ՔԿՀ-ի դատապարտյալ Արթուր Պետրոսյանին իրացնելու համար, վերջինիս հետ ունենալով նախնական պայմանավորվածություն:

Սակայն, Հովհաննես Չոլախյանը միջեւ վերջ մեղքը չի ընդունել , հիմա էլ չի ընդունում: Բացի այդ, ըստ Թագուհի Չոլախյանի, դատարանում ներկայացվել են բազմաթիվ փաստեր, որ իր որդին մեղավոր չէ, բայց դրանք անտեսվել են. «Բնական կարիքները հոգալու համար տաքսի ավտոմեքենայից իջել է «Սեւան» ՔԿՀ տարածքում, սակայն բերման է ենթարկվել: Հովհաննեսի մոտ ոչինչ չէին հայտնաբերել ու նրան ազատ են արձակել, բայց պահանջել էին 200 դոլար` նրան գործով չանհանգստացնելու համար, բայց տղաս չէր վճարել, ուստի ավելի ուշ մեղադրանք են ներկայացրել»,-պատմեց տիկին Թագուհին՝ ասելով, որ ակնկալում է, որ նախագահը կհետեւի գործով բողոքի վարույթին:

Դատապարտյալի մայրը նաեւ պատմեց, որ որդու ձեռքերը այրել են ՝ կեղծ ցուցմունք ստանալու համար, սակայն նա այդպես չի ընկրկել եւ շարունակում է պնդել, որ անմեղ է»:
