Ավետիք Բուդաղյանի սպանության դեպքի առթիվ հարուցված քրեական գործի շրջանակներում Սուրիկ Խաչատրյանի հեռախոսը գաղտնալսելու հարց չի առաջացել: Այս մասին Ազգային ժողովում հայտարարեց ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազ Գևորգ Կոստանյանը`պատասխանելով ԱԺ ՀԱԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հարցին, թե քրեական գործը վարող քննիչը դիմել է ԱԱԾ-ին Սուրիկ Խաչատրյանի գաղտնալսման արդյունքները ստանալու համար, սակայն նրան հայտնել են, որ տեխնիկական խնդիրների պատճառով հնարավոր չի եղել նր ան գաղտնալսել: «Սուրիկ Խաչատրյանին գաղնտալսելու մասին խոսք չի եղել: Խոսքը գնացել է գործում ներգրավված երեք այլ անձանց գաղտնալսելու մասին, իսկ Սուրիկ Խաչատրյանին գաղտնալսելու հարց չի առաջացել: Ազգային անվտանգության ծառայությունից իսկապես հայտնել են, որ տեխնիկական խնդիրների պատճառով հնարավոր չի եղել այդ անձանց ձայնագրել: Թե ինչ խնդիրներ են եղել, և ինչու չի հաջողվել գաղտնալսել այդ անձանց, ես չեմ կարող ասել»,-  նշեց Կոստանյանը:

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Գևորգ Կոստանյանին մեղադրեց 2013թ. Սյունիքի մարզպետ Սուրիկ Խաչատրյանի տան մոտ տեղի ունեցած սպանությունը կոծկելու և իրականությունը խեղաթյուրելու մեջ, ինչին ի պատասխան ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազը պատգամավորին վստահեցրեց, որ նա ավելի զգույշ կլիներ իր հայտարարությունների մեջ, եթե գործի վերաբերյալ մասնագիտական վերլուծություններ իրականացրած լիներ: Կոստանյանը նաև հավելեց, որ պատասխանատու է իր կայացրած ցանկացած որոշման համար: «Ինչ վերաբերում է կոծկելուն, խեղելուն, շեղելուն, պարո՛ն Փաշինյան, ես համոզված եմ, որ եթե Դուք իրական ացնեիք մասնագիտական վերլուծություններ, այլ ոչ թե քաղաքական, ավելի զգույշ կլինեիք ձեր հայտարարությունների մեջ: Համենայնդեպս, կարող եմ ասել, որ ես իրավական և ցանկացած պատասխանատվություն եմ կրում իմ ամեն մի որոշման համար»,- նշեց Կոստանյանը:

ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազը պատգամավորին կոչ արեց նստել և ամբողջությամբ ուսումնասիրել դատական նիստերի արձանագրությունները՝ գործի մանրամասներին առավել լավ ծանոթ լինելու համար: «Ես համոզված եմ, որ երբ դուք ամբողջությամբ կուսումնասիրեք դատական նիստերի արձանագրությունները, կհամոզվեք, որ ձեր ասածներն իրականությանը չեն համապատասխանում»,- նշեց Կոստանյանը:
