Լատվիայի Հանրապետության մայրաքաղաք Ռիգայում մայիսի 21-ին կայացել է Եվրոպական Միության Արևելյան գործընկերության 3-րդ Գործարար համաժողովը` «Cooperation across Borders: Eastern Partnership and Beyond» խորագրով: Համաժողովն անց է կացվել Եվրոպական Միության Խորհրդում Լատվիայի նախագահության և ԵՄ Արևելյան գործընկերության Ռիգայի գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակներում:

Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ էկոնոմիկայի նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի բաժնից, գործարար համաժողովին մասնակցել են Արևելյան գործընկերության երկրների, ԵՄ անդամ երկրների, Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի կառույցների, միջազգային ֆինանսական և տնտեսական կառույցների պատվիրակությունները, ինչպես նաև մասնավոր և հանրային հատվածի ներկայացուցիչներ և փորձագետներ: Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պատվիրակությունը գլխավորել է ՀՀ էկոնոմիկայի նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ Գարեգին Մելքոնյանը:

Հ ամաժողովին ողջույնի և բացման խոսքով հանդես է եկել Լատվիայի Հանրապետության նախագահ Անդրիս Բերզինշը: Քննարկվել են ԵՄ Արևելյան գործընկեր վեց երկրների (Հայաստան, Վրաստան, Ուկրաինա, Մոլդովա, Բելառուս, Ադրբեջան) և Եվրոպական Միության միջև առևտրատնտեսական համագործակցության խթանման հեռանկարները, առավել ամուր տնտեսական և ներդրումային կապերի զարգացման հարցերը: Առանցքային քննարկման թեմաներից են եղել ներդրումների խթանումը, գործարար միջավայրի, թվային տնտեսության զարգացումը, տարածաշրջանային առևտրատնտեսական ինտեգրումը, ֆինանսական գործիքների հասանելիությունը և այլն:

Համաժողովի ընթացքում ներկայացվել և քննարկվել են նաև Արևելյան գործընկերության երկրների հետ ԵՄ հետագա երկկողմ առևտրատնտեսական համագործակցության հնարավոր ձևաչափերն ու մոտեցումները: Անդրադարձ է կատարվել գործարար միջավայրի զարգացմանն առնչվող տրանսպորտի, լոգիստիկ ենթակառուցվածքների և էներգետիկ ռեսուրսների ոլորտային հարցերին, ինչպես նաև գործարար համագործակցության խթանմանն ուղղված քայլերին:
