«Սիմոնյան» կրթական հիմնադրամի նախաձեռնությամբ, երրորդ «Թումո» կենտրոնի բացումը կայացավ Գյուրիում:

Սկզբնական շրջանում կենտրոնը կգործի Գյումրիի տեխնոլոգիական կենտրոնի տարածքում, իսկ հետագայում նախատեսվում է այն տեղափոխել Գյուրիի թատրոն:

«Սիմոնյան» կրթական կետնրոնի տնօրեն Մարի Լու Փափազյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ թատրոնի շենքի վերանորոգումը կկայանա մոտ ապագայում, և կենտրոնը լիարժեք կգործի: Փափազյանը շեշտում է, որ Գյումրիի «Թումո»-ն գրեթե ոչինչով չի զիջում Երևանի և Դիլիջանի «Թումո»-ներին, և իրենք ամեն ինչ անելու են, որ կենտրոններում տեխնիկական հագեցվածությունը և հնարավորթւոյւնները լինեն հավասար: Հունիսից Գյումրիի «Թումո»-ի անդամ դառնալու համար տեղի կունենա երիտասարդների գրանցում, իսկ համապատասխան դասընթացները կմեկնարկեն սեպտեմբերից: Սկզբնական շ րջանում տարածքը կներառի 60 աշխատանքային կետ, ինչը հնարավորություն կտա հյուրընկալել մինչ 1000 ուսանողի:

Այժմ «Սիմոնյան» կրթական հիմնադրամն ակտիվ աշխատանքեր է տանում Ստեփանակետում «Թումո» կենտրոնի ստեղծման ուղղությամբ: Նախատեսվում է մինչև սեպտեմբեր ավարտին հասցնել շինարարությունը և «Թումո Ստեփանակերտ»-ն իր դռները կբացի արցախցի 1000 պատանիների առջև:

«Թումոն» իր վրա առաքելություն է վերցրել տարածվել և հասանելի դառնալ ամբողջ Հայաստանի երիտասարդների համար: Կենտրոնը մշտապես համագործակցում է ոլորտի միջազգային առաջատար մասնագետների հետ, ովքեր ակցելում են Հայաստան` իրենց փորձը կիսելու երիտասարդների հետ:

Այսօր Երևանի «Թումո» են հաճախում 12-18 տարեկան 6000 պատանի: Կենտրոնի հիմնադրումից հետո «Թումո»-ի ուսումնական ծրագրում ընդգրկվել է12 հազար պատանի: Գյումրիի «Թումո» կենտրոնի ստեղծման նախաձեռնությունը պատկանում է ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին: 2014 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 7-ին «Շանթ» հեռուստատեսության կազմակերպած մարաթոնի արդյունքում հանգանակվեց 250 հազար ԱՄՆ դոլար, որը տրամադրվեց կենտրոնին:
