Լոռու մարզպետ Արթուր Նալբանդյանի գլխին կուտակված սև ամպերի շվաքի ներքո լարված ու համառ նախընտրական պայքար է ընթանում մարզպետի հարազատ քաղաք Ալավերդիում:

Արթուր Նալբանդյանը քաղաքապետի պաշտոնում առաջադրել է Կարեն Փարամուզյանին, ում հետ բիզնես համագործակցություն և ընդհանուր շահեր ունի վերջին տարիներին, իսկ ընդդիմադիր դիրքերից հանդես են գալիս մարզպետի երբեմնի աջակից և բարեկամ համարվող Աբգարյան եղբայրները՝ Տարոնն ու Արթուրը:

Ալավերդցիները այս ընտրություններում մարզպետի հաղթելու հնարավորությունները ցածր են գնահատում. նշում են, որ վերջին տարիներին քաղաքում ոչինչ դեպի լավը չի փոխվել, Նալբանդյանը ոչ մի լավ բան սեփական քաղաքի համար չի արել, միակ փոփոխությունը, որ կա՝ դա մարզպետի օր-օրի հարստանալն ու իրականությունից և մարդկանցից կտրվելն է: Մարզպետի մասին խոսելիս՝ Սանահինցի Հակոբ պապը, ով ծնվել ու մինչ օրս ապրում է Ալավերդիում, զայրացած շեշտում էր,-ՙՙ Արթուր Նալբանդյանն իրեն ընկեր է սարքել ավազակներին ու գողերին, քաղաքը թալանում էին հերիք չէ, հիմա էլ ամբողջ Լոռու մարզն են թալանում, փողով փարոսի անդամ են սարգում մարդկանց, իսկ խեղճերի ձեռքից օրվա հացի փողն էլ են խլում: Մենք անտեր ենք մնացել: Մեր թագավոր-պրեզիդենտը ինչա էս ամենը չի տենում, սրանք մեզ սաղ սաղ թաղում են՚՚:

Իր թեկնածուին օգնելու համար մարզպետը դիմում է այլևայլ հնարքների ու խախտումների: Ներկայումս Ալավերդցիների դեմ Նալբանդյանի պայքարը պատվի և ուժի դրսևորման նոր ձև է ստացել, Նալբանդյանի համար պատվի ու ճակատագրի հարց է՝ անկախ նրանից՝ հասարակությունը իր կողմն է թե ոչ, նա իր առաջ խնդիր է դրել հաղթել Ալավերդի քաղաքին:
