Գլենդելն ու Գյումրին հռչակվեցին քույր քաղաքներ

 ԱՄՆ Գլենդել քաղաքի քաղաքային խորհուրդն իր հերթական նիստում միաձայն քվեարկել է Գյումրիի հետ քույր քաղաք հարաբերություններ հաստատելու օգտին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է ՀՀ ԱԳՆ ֆեյսբուքյան էջը, Գլենդելի համար Գյումրին դարձավ երկրորդ հայկական քույր քաղաքը՝ Կապանից հետո: Նախաձեռնությունն իրականացել է Լոս Անջելեսում ՀՀ Գլխավոր հյուպատոսության և Գլենդելի նախկին քաղա քապետ, այժմ քաղաքային խորհրդի անդամ Զարեհ Սինանյանի համատեղ ջանքերի շնորհիվ:

Զարեհ Սինանյանի խոսքով` երկու քաղաքները շատ ընդհանրություններ ունեն, որոնք լավ հիմք են արդյունավետ գործակցության համար: Գլենդելի քաղաքապետ Արա Նաջարյանն, իր հերթին, գոհունակություն հայտնեց քույր քաղաքների ծրագրի մեկնարկի առիթով: Նա նշեց, որ չնայած 1988թ. աղետին` Գյումրին վերագտավ իր տեղը որպես արվեստի և մշակույթի կենտրոն:

Գլենդելի քաղաքային խորհուրդն իր պատրաստակամությունն է հայտնել հուլիսին քաղաքապետի գլխավորությամբ պատվիրակության այց կազմակերպել Գյումրի՝ համագործակցության համապատասխան փաստաթուղթ ստորագրելու նպատակով:

«Գյումրիի հետ քույր քաղաք լինելու ծրագրի մեկնարկը մեզ համար կարևոր է. մենք հայկական մեծ համայնք ունենք Գլենդելում և սերտ կապեր՝ Հայաստանի հետ: Գլենդելը և Գյումրին շատ նման են միմյանց, նախևառաջ՝ բնակչության թվով: Մենք գործակցությունը տեսնում ենք առավելապես կրթական, մշակութային ոլորտներում: Այս ծրագիրը նաև Գլենդելում ապրող գյումրեցիներին կկամրջի հայրենի քաղաքի հետ: Մենք արդեն մեծ փորձ ունենք քույր քաղաքների ծրագրի իմաստով՝ Մեքսիկայի, Ճապոնիայի, Հարավային Կորեայի հետ: Հույս ունենք՝ այդ փորձն առավել հարստացնել հայկական երկրորÕ ¤ քաղաքի հետ գործակցությամբ», - նշել է Գլենդել քաղաքի մենեջեր Դեն Բելլը:

«Հայաստանում բարձր են գնահատում և խրախուսում ապակենտրոնացված համագործակցության դերը տնտեսության զարգացման գործում: Այս գործակցությունը կարող է շատ լավ արդյունքներ տալ: Գլենդելը հարուստ փորձ է կուտակել քաղաքային տնտեսության զարգացման գործում, հատկապես բարձր տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտում, և այն կարող է օգտակար լինել Գյումրիի համար, որն այսօր թերևս դեռ ունի ոլորտներ, որոնք բարելավման կարիք ունեն: Երկու քաղաքների միջև փոխշահավետ համագործակցությունը լրացուցիչ խթան կհանդիսանա Գլենդելի և Գյումրիի համայնքների կայուն զարգացման համար », - նշել է Լոս Անջելեսում ՀՀ գլխավոր հյուպատոսի տեղակալ Վալերի Մկրտումյանը:
