 Մալարիայով հիվանդ Հայաստան ժամանած Ֆինլանդիայի քաղաքացու վիճակն ավելի լավ է։ Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի բաժնից, առավոտյան քաղաքացին ջերմություն չի ունեցել։

Կեսօրին մոտ ջերմությունը սկսել է բարձրանալ, ի հայտ են եկել թեթև դող և սարսուռ։ Մասնագետները նրա վիճակը գնահատում են հիվանդությանը բնորոշ։ Կա լավացման միտում։ Բուժումը շարունակվում է։

Տանզանիա-Մոսկվա-Երևան չվերթով աշխատանքային այցով հունիսի 11-ին Առողջապահական պետական տեսչության «Զվարթնոց» միջազգային օդանավակայանի սահմանային բժշկասանիտարական հսկիչ կետի համաճարակաբանների կողմից հեռակառավարման ջերմացույցով Երևան ժամանած Ֆինլանդիայի 60-ամյա ուղևորի մոտ հայտնաբերվել է բարձր` 39.2 աստիջան ջերմություն, ընդհանուր թուլություն և տենդի նախանշաններ։ Հիվանդության տարածման կանխարգելման նպատակով բժիշկ-համաճարակաբանները կազմակերպել էին նրա՝ որպես մալարիայով կասկածելի հիվանդ հոսպիտալացումը «Նորք» ինֆեկցիոն հ իվանդանոց։ Լաբորատոր հետազոտությամբ հաստատվել է արևադարձային մալարիա։

Այս հիվանդությունը շարունակում է մնալ աշխարհի բազմաթիվ երկրների հանրային առողջապահության գերակա խնդիրներից: Աշխարհի հարյուրավոր երկրներ տեղակայված են մալարիայի տեղաճարակային տարածքում, և շուրջ 2 միլիարդ մարդ ապրում է մալարիայի մշտական սպառնալիքի ներքո: Մալարիան ուղեկցել է հայ ժողովրդին պատմության ողջ ընթացքում և բացակայել է ընդամենը 31 տարի՝ 1963-1994թթ.: 1994 թ. մալարիան կրկին ներխուժեց Հայաստան: Տեղական մալարիան վերացնելու ուղղությամբ Հայաստանում ծավալվեց համալիր և բազմոլորտ պայքար, որին աջակցեցին նաև միջազգային կազմակերպությունները:

2003 թ. Հայաստանը, վերանայելով մալարիայի դեմ պայքարի ռազմավարությունը, եվրոպական տարածաշրջանում եզակի երկրներից մեկն է, որն անցել է մալարիայի դեմ պայքարից դեպի տեղական մալարիայի վերացմանը: 2006 թ.-ից ի վեր Հայաստանում տեղական մալարիայի դեպքեր չեն արձանագրվել: Մեր երկրում գործնականում մալարիան վերացել է: Այժմ Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը նախապատրաստում է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության վկայագրումը՝ որպես մալարիայից ազատ գոտի:
