 Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հունիսի 12-ին Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության պետական տոնի՝ Ռուսաստանի օրվա առթիվ այցելել է Հայաստանում ՌԴ դեսպանատուն և շնորհավորել դեսպան Իվան Վոլինկինին ու դեսպանատան աշխատակիցներին: Հանրապետության Նախագահը տոնի առթիվ նաև շնորհավորական ուղերձներ է հղել ՌԴ Նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինին և ՌԴ կառավարության նախագահ Դմիտրի Մեդվեդև ին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Ռուսաստանի Նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինին ուղղված շնորհավորական ուղերձում Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է, որ այս նշանակալից ամսաթիվն անքակտելիորեն կապված է Ռուսաստանի քաղաքական, սոցիալ-մշակութային և հասարակական կյանքի խորքային փոխակերպումների հետ: Սերժ Սարգսյանի խոսքով՝ երկու երկրների ժողովուրդների փոխհարաբերությունների խորը արմատներն այսօր ապահ ովում են հայ-ռուսական դաշնակցային փոխգործակցության առաջընթաց զարգացումը՝ բարեկամության, եղբայրության և փոխադարձ աջակցության բազմադարյա ավանդույթների հիման վրա: Նախագահը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ երկկողմ հարաբերությունների ամբողջ համալիրի զարգացմանն ուղղված համատեղ ջանքերը և տարածաշրջանային ինտեգրացիոն միավորումների՝ ՀԱՊԿ-ի, ԵԱՏՄ-ի, ԱՊՀ-ի գծով արդյունավետ փոխգործակցությունը, ինչպես նաև միջազգային օրակարգի հարցերի շուրջ խորացված կոորդինացիան ամբողջովին համապատասխանում են երկու երկրների և քաղաքացիների արմատական շահերին: Նախա գահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը Ռուսաստանի Նախագահին տոնի առթիվ մաղթել է քաջառողջություն, բարօրություն և նորանոր հաջողություններ իր պետական գործունեության մեջ, իսկ բոլոր ռուսաստանցիներին՝ երջանկություն և բարգավաճում:

ՌԴ կառավարության նախագահ Դմիտրի Մեդվեդևին ուղղված շնորհավորական ուղերձում Հանրապետության Նախագահը նշել է, որ տոնը կապված է Ռուսաստանի պետականության բոլոր ոլորտների համակարգային փոխակերպումների, միջազգային ասպարեզում Ռուսաստանի դերի և տեղի առավել ամրապնդման հետ: Սերժ Սարգսյանի խոսքով, այսօր հայ-ռուսական ռազմավարական հարաբերությունները հետևողականորեն զարգանում են՝ ներառելով փոխշահավետ համագործակցության նոր ոլորտներ:
