Քաշաթաղի շրջանում՝ հատկապես Թովմասարի սարահարթում, հացահատիկի բերքահավաքի աշխատանքները մտել են եռուն շրջան: Քաշաթաղի շրջվարչակազմի «Մերան» պաշտոնաթերթի խմբագիր Զոհրաբ Ըռքոյանը Թովմասարից «Արցախպրես»-ին հայտնել է, որ հունիսի 13-ին Հադրութի տարածաշրջանում բռնկված հրդեհը տարածվելով դեպի Քաշաթաղի շրջանի Թովմասարի տարածք` մեծ վտանգ էր ներկայացնում արդեն հասունացած ցանքատարածքների համար: Իշխանաձորում գործող հակահրդեհային շտաբն անմիջապես արձագանքել է:

Թովմասարի, Կովսականի սարահարթերում գործող հակահրդեհային հենակետերից հրդեհի վայր է շտապել հրշեջ-փրկարարական 3 մարտական հաշվարկ: Շրջվարչակազմի ղեկավար, հակահրդեհային շտաբի պետ Սուրեն Խաչատրյանի հրահանգով հրդեհի վայր են հասել նաև տարածքի համայնքների բնակիչները: Ողջ գիշեր պայքարելուց հետո` լուսաբացին հաջողվել է մարել հրդեհը, որը տարածվել էր մի քանի հարյուր հեկտարի վրա:

Տարածք է մեկնել նաև հանրապետության վարչապետ Արայիկ Հարությունյանը, ով շտապ խորհրդակցություն է հրավիրել պատասխանատուների հետ: Արդյունքում որոշվել է տեղերում ավելացնել անվտանգության գոտիները՝ հերկելով նոր տարածքներ: Գործադիր իշխանության ղեկավարը հրահանգել է մինչև բերքահավաքի ավարտը ժամանակավոր արգելել այլ մեքենաների մուտքը Թովմասար: Նա Իշխանաձորում հանդիպել է համայնքներից եկած կամավորների հետ, կարևորել, որ հյուսիսային թևի համայնքներն էլ են մասնակցում հակահրդեհային շտաբի աշխատանքներին: Արայիկ Հարությունյանը հորդորել է բոլորին մասնակցել շտաբի աշխատանքներին` նշելով, որ այս տարին բերքատվության համար բացառիկ է և պետք է անել հնարավորը հացահատիկն անկորուստ ամբարելու համար:

Տեղում են նաև գյուղնախարար Անդրանիկ Խաչատրյանը և Արտակարգ իրավիճակների պետական ծառայության տնօրեն Արթուր Հարությունյանը: «Շատ մեծ դժվարությամբ պայքարել ենք կրակի դեմ և թույլ չենք տվել, որ այն հասնի ցանքատարածքներ»,- ասել է ԱԻՊԾ տնօրեն Արթուր  Հարությունյանը՝  հավելելով, որ բացի ցանքատարածքներից, կրակը սպառնում էր նաև Արաքսավան և Եղեգն բնակավայրերին: Արթուր Հարությունյանը նշել է նաև, որ այս ընթացքում հրդեհներ են բռնկվել նաև հանրապետության այլ շրջաններում, որոնք, բարեբախտաբար, ցանքատարածքներին քիչ են վնասել:  

Այս պահին Թովմասարում ցանքատարածքների մոտ ընթանում են հերկի աշխատանքներ՝ ուղղված հրդեհից նոր պաշտպանական շերտեր ստեղծելուն, իսկ հնձի աշխատանքներն առանց խոչընդոտների շարունակվում են և կավարտվեն մոտ 20 օրից: Այժմ տարածքում աշխատում են 34 կոմբայններ:
