Օրերս հասարակության շրջանում դժգոհության ալիք էր բարձրացել մայրաքաղաքի գլխավոր պողոտայի` Սարյան փողոց-Մաշտոցի պողոտա միջանկյալ հատվածի այգում կատարվող շինարարական աշխատանքների առնչությամբ: Երեւանցիներն ահազանգում էին, որ ոչնչացվում են Հին Երեւանը հիշեցնող շատրվանները: Պետք է նկատել, որ քաղաքի սրտում գտնվող այս այգին ու շատրվանների ճակատագիրը երեւանցիների համար առանձնակի նշանակություն ունեն. համաքաղաքային տարբեր միջոցառումների ժամանակ քաղաքի այս հատվածը մշտապես եղել է ամենազբաղվածներից մեկը:

«Ժողովուրդ»-ը Երեւանի քաղաքապետարանից հետաքրքրվեց` ո՞ր ընկերությունն է զբաղվում տվյալ շինարարական աշխատանքներով, եւ որքան ժամանակ է ընթանալու շինարարությունը: Մենք նաեւ հարցրինք` արդյո՞ք շինարարության հետեւանքով վտանգ չի սպառնում շատրվաններին, եւ քաղաքապետարանն ինչ քայլեր է ձեռնարկում դրանք պահպանելու ուղղությամբ:

Երեւանի քաղաքապետարանի տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից մեր հարցերին ի պատասխան՝ նշեցին, որ Երեւանի քաղաքապետարան-մասնավոր հատված համագործակցության շրջանակում «Տաշիր գրուպ» ընկերությունը մայրաքաղաքի գլխավոր պողոտայի` Սարյան փողոց-Մաշտոցի պողոտա միջանկյալ հատվածի այգում («Մալիբու» սրճարանին հարակից հանգստի գոտի) իրականացնում է բարեկարգման աշխատանքներ:

Քաղաքապետարանից հավաստիացնում են, որ ծրագրի շրջանակում կբարեկարգվի այգու 18.846 քմ ընդհանուր մակերեսը, կընդլայնվի այգու ներկայիս կանաչ զանգվածը, կավելանա նաեւ ջրային մակերեսը: «Ինչ վերաբերում է այգու տարածքում գտնվող ջրային կառույցներին, ապա դրանք պահպանվելու են, ավելին` հանրությանը կներկայանան թարմացված եւ նոր տեսքով»,- վստահեցրին քաղաքապետարանից:

Շինարարության հետեւանքով առաջ եկած պատկերը, սակայն, նույնքան հույսեր չի ներշնչում, որքան քաղաքապետարանի պատասխանը: Պարզ չէ, թե ինչպես պետք է պահպանվեն ջրային կառույցները, եթե դրանք շինարարության հետեւանքով արդեն իսկ կորցրել են իրենց նախկին տեսքը:
