Հայազգի միլիարդատեր Քըրք Քըրքորյանի հուղարկավորության վերաբերյալ դեռ ոչինչ չի հայտարարվել: «Կալիֆորնիա կուրիեր» թերթի հրատարակիչ եւ խմբագիր Հարութ Սասունյանը «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց, որ հնարավոր է՝ լինի փակ հուղարկավորություն: «Այս պահին ոչ մի բան չի հայտարարվել: Հաջորդ օրերին կծրագրվեն ու կհայտարարվեն մանրամասներ: Այս պահին չգիտեմ, թե կտակում ինչ է գրվե լ: Բայց նրան իմանալով՝ կարող եմ ասել՝ մարդ էր, ով հանրային վայրերում, ժողովրդի առաջ շատ չէր սիրում երևալ, միշտ առանձին էր անում ամեն ինչ: Հնարավոր է՝ նա ցանակցած լինի, որ առանձին մի փակ հուղարկավորություն լինի: Իր նկարագրից դատելով՝ այդպես եմ մտածում: Հնարավոր է՝ ներքին կարգով թաղում լինի, ոչ ժողովրդային: Դա իմ ենթադրությունն է»,- ընդգծեց Հարութ Սասունյանը:

Հարութ Սասունյանը հույս հայտնեց, որ Քրք Քրքորյանի հովանավորությամբ նկարահանվող՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին ֆիլմը կհասցվի իր ավարտին: «Նրա հարստությունը մոտ 5 միլիարդ դոլար է, բայց այն, թե ինչին պետք է հատկացվի, դեռ պարզ չէ: Բայց գիտեմ, որ մի ֆիլմ կա, որը ընթաքցքի մեջ է, հավանաբար, այն կշարունակվի, որի համար, հավանաբար, գումար թողել է»,- ավելացրեց Հարութ Սասունյանը:

98 տարեկանում կյանքից հեռացել է ամերիկահայ գործարար, միլիարդատեր, բարերար Քըրք Քըրքորյանը: Մահվան բոթը հաստատել է Քըրքորյանի «Տրասինդա Քորփորեյշնի» նախագահ և գործադիր տնօրեն Էնթոնի Մանդեկիքը: Քըրքորյանը մահացել է երկուշաբթի երեկոյան՝ Բեվերլի Հիլլզի իր տանը:

Քըրք Քըրքորյանը ծնվել է 1917թ. հունիսի 6-ին Ֆրեզնո քաղաքում: Զբաղվել է հյուրանոցային շինարարությամբ, կինո և ավտոմոբիլային արտադրությամբ: Սպիտակի երկրաշարժից հետո և ՀՀ շրջափակման ու տնտեսական ճգնաժամի տարիներին «Հայաստան» համահայկական հիմնադրամի տարբեր ծրագրերին նվիրաբերել է ավելի քան 20 մլն դոլար: 1996թ. կրկնապատկել է Լոս Անջելեսի հեռուստամարաթոնի ընթացքում հավաքած գումարը` Գորիս-Ստեփանակերտ ավտոճանապարհի շինարարությանը հատկացնելով մոտ 4 մլն դոլար: 2001-ից նրա «Լինսի» հիմնադրամը 200 մլն դոլարի արժողության ծրագրեր է իրականացրել ՀՀ-ում ավտոճանապարհների վերակառուցման, մշակութային հաստատությունների նորոգման, աղետի գոտու վերականգնման ուղղությամբ: Հայաստանի Ազգային հերոս է: Պարգևատրվել է «Հայրենիք» շքանշանով:
