Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Կաթողիկոսության իրավաբանների խումբը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որտեղ եւս մեկ անգամ ընդգծել է կաթողիկոսության եւ անձամբ Արամ Առաջինի՝ Սիսի կաթողիկոսական կալվածքը հետ բերելու առնչությամբ Թուրքիայի Սահմանադրական դատարան դիմելու պատրաստակամությունը: Իրավաբանները, վկայակոչելով Արամ Ա կաթո ղիկոսի հարցազրույցները, ներկայացրել են այն ուղիները, որոնցով պետք է առաջնորդվել:

«Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիոկսությունից իրավական քայլի դիմելու շարժառիթը հայ եկեղեցու եւ ժողովրդի համար Սիսի կաթողիկոսարանի ներկայացրած պատմական եւ կրոնական նշանակությունն է, ինչպես նաեւ նրա վերադարձի յուրահատուկ կարեւորությունը Հայոց ցեղասպանության պահանջատիրության շրջագծում: Դատն իրավական երկու հիմք ունի՝ կաթողիկոսարանի կալվածքային իրավունքի եւ կաթողիկոսարանի կրոնական պաշտամունքի իրավունքի վերահաստատում: Կաթողիկոսարանի կալվածքային սեփականության իրավունքը, թուրքական օրենքների համաձայն, իրավական գործընթացներում կարող է հատուցման հարցեր առաջացնել, սակայն կրոնական պաշտամունքի իրավունքը, բոլորովին տարբեր խնդիր լինելով, կարող է լուծում գտնել միայն Սիսի կաթողիկոսարանի կալվածքի վերադարձով»,- ասված է հայտարարության մեջ: Իրավաբանները շեշտում են, որ սկզբունքային եւ իրավական այս մոտեցման առնչությամբ հնարավոր չէ բանակցություններ վարել: Հետեւաբար, եթե թուրքական դատարանը մերժի կամ թուրքական կառավարությունը չվերադարձնի Սիսի կաթողիկոսարանի կալվածքը, Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսը կդիմի Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարան: Իրավաբանները շեշտել են, որ դատ ական թղթածրարը բարդ ու զգայուն խնդիրներ է պարունակում, հետեւաբար ձեռնտու չէ, որպեսզի դատին առնչվող բոլոր մանրամասները հրապարակվեն: Նրանք նաեւ շեշտել են, որ դատավարության մեկնարկի առնչությամբ մամուլի անհիմն մեկնաբանությունները չեն նպաստում այդ պատմական նախաձեռնության հաջող ընթացքին:

«Ինչպես ակնարկեցինք, դատավարական ընթացքը բազմաթիվ խոչընդոտների եւ մարտահրավերների է դիմագրավելու՝ նկատի ունենալով նրա պատմական, իրավական ու քաղաքական ենթահողն ու հետեւանքները: Ցանկանում ենք շեշտել, որ Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսությունը շարունակելու է դիմել իրավական բոլոր հնարավոր միջոցներին Սիսի կաթողիկոսական կալվածքի վերադարձի համար՝ որպես առաջին հանգրվան եկեղեցապատկան ու ազգապատկան բոլոր կալվաքների իր պահանջի»,- ասված է հայտարարության մեջ:
