Աստիճանաբար դուրս գալով օգոստոսի սկզբին սահմանագծում դիվերսիոն գործողությունների անհաջողության պատճառած ցնցումից' Ադրբեջանը Հայաստանի նկատմամբ որդեգրել է նոր մարտավարություն, այս անգամ շեփորահարելով Հայաստանի տնտեսության ծանր վիճակի, ներքաղաքական լարվածության, արտագաղթի և մարդու իրավունքների ոտնահարման մասին: Այս սին հայտարություներին լրատվամիջոցներից զատ ներգրավված են նաև Ադրբեջանի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնական օղակները, և անձամբ Իլհամ Ալիևը: Իր տասնյակ զինվորների անիմաստ մահվան ուղարկած նախագահը Սոչի մեկնելուց առաջ սահմանամերձ գոտում երիտասարդության եւ հասարակայնության ներկայացուցիչների հետ ունեցած հանդիպման ժամանակ հարձակումները վերագրելով հայկական կողմին, հանդես էր եկել ադրբեջանական բանակի կրած խայտառակ պարտությունը քողարկող հայտարարություններով և հավելել, թե Հայաստանի տնտեսություն քայքայված է, Երևանն իբր ընդունում է, որ ի զորու չէ ինքնուրույն ապահովել իր անվտանգությունը, երկիրը դատարկվում է և շփման գծի հայկական կողմը պահպանող կենդանի ուժ չկա: Ադրբեջանի նման գործելաոճը նպատակ է հետապնդում Հայաստանը պահել մեկուսացման և շրջափակման մեջ, ստվեր նետել միջազգային ասպարեզում Հայաստանի բարձր վարկանիշի վրա և հնարավորինս նվազեցնել զբոսաշրջության և ներդրումային հոսքերը: ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հերթական անգամ հայտարարում է, որ ՀՀ զինված ուժերը վստահորեն վերահսկում են իրավիճակը շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով, խստորեն հետևում են հրադադարի ռեժիմի պահպանմանը և իրավիճակին համարժեք գործողությունների են դիմում միայն հակառակորդի կողմից արձանագրվող նպատակային խախտումների դեպքում: Իսկ Հայաստանը, որը ողջ աշխարհում հայտնի է իր բացառիկ և հարուստ պատմամշակութային ժառանգությամբ, աշխարհագրական բազմազանությամբ և հյուրերի հանդեպ ջերմ ու բարեհամբույր վերաբերմունքով, միանգամայն անվտանգ երկիր է, ուր տիրում է օրենքի գերակայությունը, իսկ մարդու իրավունքները և ազատությունները համարվում են բարձրագույն արժեք: ՀՀ Պաշտպանության նախարարություն
