Հունիսի 24-ին Վենետիկում Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին «Արեւելյան կողմն աշխարհի խաղաղություն թող լինի» անվանումով բեմադրություն կներկայացվի: Անվանումն ընտրել են Դանիել Վարուժանի «Անդաստան» բանաստեղծության առաջին տողերի հիման վրա:

Այն նախաձեռնել է Վենետիկի Մխիթարյան միաբանությունը, որին աջակցել են բարերարներ Ջոզեֆ եւ Ջեննի Ուգուրլյանները: Մուտքն ազատ է լինելու:

Ըստ Վենետիկի թատերական նորությունների Cultura Spettacolo Venezia կայքի, բեմադրության ռեժիսորը Մարկո Բելլուսին է, իսկ մասնակիցներից մեկը՝ Օտտավիա Պիկոլոն, որը 1970 թվականին Կաննի կինոփառատոնին մրցանակ է ստացել լավագույն կանացի դերի համար:

Հեղինակներն իրենց պատկերացումն են ներկայացնելու 1915 թվականի զանգվածային սպանությունների մասին: Ներկայացվելու են ականատեսների հիշողությունները, հատվածներ հայ, թուրք եւ գերմանացի հեղինակներից, ինչպես նաեւ հայկական եւ թուրքական ժողովրդական երգեր: Աղբյուրի համաձայն, բեմադրության սյուժեն ոչ միայն հիշողության ներկայացում է, այլեւ երկխոսության մթնոլորտ ստեղծելու փորձ:
