Վերջին զարգացումները Սիրիայում ու Իրաքում մեծ մտահոգությունների տեղիք են տալիս՝ մահմեդական ծայրահեղականների կողմից քրիստոնյա ու հատկապես հայ ազգաբանակչության դեմ իրականացվող ոչնչացման լայնածավալ գործողությունների առումով: Տարածաշրջանում մահմեդական գործոնի ծավալումը նոր մարտահրավերներ է առաջ բերում Հայաստանի ու համայն հայության առջև: Ծառացած այս նոր խնդրով մտահոգված է նաև ամերիկահայ համայնքը ու նրա կազմակերպությունները: Նրանց ջանքերի մասին «Ամերիկայի ձայնը» զրուցել է հայ դատի Վաշինգտոնի գրասենյակի ղեկավար Արամ Համբարյանի հետ:

«Իրավիճակը ահագնանում է սիրիայի հայ համայնքի համար: Ամերիկյան կառավարության վրա ազդելու առումով՝ ընտրել ենք երկու ուղղություն, առաջինը փորձում ենք կառավարության ուղղարկած օգնությունը դարձնել ավելի մատչելի քրիստոնյաների ու հատկապես հայերի համար: Երկրորդը՝ օգնության կազմակերպումն է այն սիրիահայ փախստականների համար, որ արդեն տեղափոխվել են Հայաստան: Այսինքն ջանքեր ենք գործադրում մեծացնելու այս նպատակի համար ամերիկյան կառավարության օգնությունը Հայաստանին, մասնավորապես՝ վերաբնակեցման օժանդակության առումով»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ասել է Համբարյանը:

Հայության մտահոգությունները փարատելու ջանքերի շուրջ խոսեցինք ամերիկահայ մյուս հզոր կազմակերպության՝ Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի գործադիր տնօրենի Բրայան Արդունու հետ: Նա հաստատեց, որ իրենք համագործակցելով նույն գործելակերպն են ընտրել: Նա և Արամ Համբարյանը նշեցին նաև, որ այս երկու ամերիկահայ կազմակերպությունները հանդիպումներ են ունենում Կապիտոլիական բլրի վրա՝ ամերիկահայ ընտրողների ձայնը լսելի դարձնելու, ինչպես Կոնգրեսին, այնպես էլ՝ Օբամայի վարչակազմին:

Հաշվի առնելով ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարի հայտարարությունը միջազգային համագործակցությունը ընդլայնելու պատրաստակամության վերաբերյալ, հարց ուղղեցինք նաև հայ ամերիկյան ռազմական համագործակցության ընդլայնման նպատակով իրականացվող քայլերի շուրջ: Բրայան Արդունին համակարծիք լինելով Արամ Համբարյանի հետ, կարևորեց հայկական կազմակերպությունների կողմից և՛ Կոնգրեսում, և՛ ԱՄՆ-ի գործադիր իշխանության հետ հարաբերություններում Հայաստանի հետ պաշտպանա կան համագործակցության ընդլայնման հարցի մշտապես արծարծելը:

«Աշխատում ենք միջազգային հանրության անվտանգային ջանքերում ընդլայնելու հայ զինվորականների մասնակցության, նրանց կրթության ու վարժանքների ֆինանսավորման, մասնավորապես Արտաքին ռազմական ֆինանսավորում ու Միջազգային ռազմական ֆինանսավորում ծրագրերի շրջանակում դրամական միջոցների հատկացումները ընդլայնելու համար. Այդ հատկացումների առաջ մղումը մշտապես մեր ուշադրության կենտրոնում է»:

Մահմեդական ծայրահեղական խմբավորումները չափազանց վտանգավոր են, սակայն առաջիկա մարտահրավերներին պատրաստ լինելը կարող է հնարավորություն բացել Հայաստանի ու համայն հայության համար դիմակայելու ու չեզոքացնելու նման սպառնալիքները:
