Էլեկտրաէներգիայի սակագնի բարձրացման որոշման հետևանքով Հայաստանում սկսված բողոքի ակցիաները բացարձակապես տնտեսական բնույթ ունեն, սակայն փորձ է արվում քաղաքականացնել դրանք: Ինչպես հաղորդում է Արմենպրեսը՝ վկայակոչելով «ՌԻԱ նովոստին», այս մասին հուլիսի 2-ին հայտարարել է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը: «Շատ մեծ ուշադրություն է հատկացվում երիտասարդությանը՝ ազգային օրակարգի ձևավորման, ինչպես նա և, այսպես կոչված, խաղաղ ակցիաների դիտանկյունից, որոնք գնալով դառնում են վարքածային նորմ: Դուք գիտեք, ինչպես են սկսվել գունավոր հեղափոխությունները, Ուկրաինայի մայդանը, Հայաստանում տիրող ներկա իրավիճակը…Գայթակղություն կա այս ամենն օգտագործել հակակառավարական տրամադրություններ հրահրելու համար, չնայած այս իրադարձությունների արմատները զուտ տնտեսական են, բայց ինչ-որ մեկին, կարծես թե, օգտակար է թվում ավելի առաջ գնալ և այդ իրադարձությունները զարգացնել քաղաքական ուղով»,- ԲՐԻԿՍ երիտասարդական ֆորումի ժամանակ ասել է Սերգեյ Լավրովը:

«Հայաստանի էլեկտրական ցանցեր» ՓԲԸ-ն, հայտնվելով ծանր ֆինանսական իրավիճակում, դիմել է Հայաստանի ծառայությունները կարգավորողհանձնաժողովին հոսանքի գինը 40 տոկոսով բարձրացնելու պահանջով: ՀԾԿՀ-ն մասամբբավարարել է ՀԷՑ-ը պահանջը` էլեկտրաէներգիայի գինը բարձրացնելով 17 տոկոսով: Հունիսի 19-ից Երևանում և Հայաստանի մյուս քաղաքներում մեկնարկել են բողոքի ցույցերը` ընդդեմ էլեկտրաէներգիայի սակագնի բարձրացման: Ակցիայի մասնակիցները հունիսի 22-ից Բաղրամյան պողոտայում նստացույց են սկսել` պահանջելով կասեցնել էլեկտրաէներգիայի թանկացումը: Ոստիկանությունը ջրցան մեքենաների կիրառմամբ հունիսի 23-ի առավոտյան ցրել է ակցիան: Արդյունքում 237 մարդ բերման են ենթարկվել, 25-ը դիմել են բժիշկների օգնությանը: Հունիսի 23-ի երեկոյան կրկին հավաք է անցկացվել Ազատության հրապարակում՝ վերածվելով երթի կրկին դեպի Բաղրամյան պողոտա, որտեղ էլմինչև այժմ այն շարունակվում է: Չնայած ՀՀ Նախագահի` հունիսի 27-ի հայտարարությունից հետո, ըստ որի` մինչև ՀԷՑ-ում միջազգային աուդիտի ավարտը կառավարությունն իր վրա կվերցնի սակագնի բարձրացման բեռը, ցուցարարների մի մասը Բաղրամյան պողոտայում դե ռևս շարունակվում է բողոքի ակցիան ըննդեմ էլեկտրաէներգիայի թանկացման:
