Հայկական թատրոնի ու կինոյի ուրախ և տխուր մարդը, նշանավոր կատակերգու, մեծ դերասան Մհեր (Ֆրունզիկ ) Մկրտչյանը հուլիսի 4-ին կդառար 85 տարեկան:

Անվանի մտավորականը ծնվել ու մեծացել է Գյումրիում: Սերն արվեստի ու հատկապես թատրոնի նկատմամբ արտահայտվել է դեռ մանկուց, երբ հաճախում էր նկարչության, երաժշտության և թատրոնի խմբակներ:

«Նա նիհար էր, մեծ քթով, բայց պարզվեց, որ Աստված նրան հսկայական դերասանական տաղանդ է տվել: Մենք ապրում էինք կոմունալ բնակարանում: Ֆրունզիկը, որն այդ ժամանակ 10 տարեկան էր, երկրորդ հարկի մուտքի հատվածը թատերական բեմի վերածեց, դրեց վարագույր, որն ամեն անգամ անձամբ բացում էր և մեզ ցույց տալիս մոնոներկայացումներ: Մենք ծիծաղում էինք, տխրում, իսկ նա իմպրովիզներ էր կատարում, խոսում էր այն ամենի մասին, ինչ խելքին փչի, բայց դա էր իսկական արվեստը»,-Արմենպրեսի-ի  փոխանցմամբ՝ մի առիթով նշել է դերասանի եղբայրը՝ ռեժիսոր Ալբերտ Մկրտչյանը:

Մհեր Մկրտչյանը հայ կինոյի այն ինքնատիպ դերակատարներից էր, որ հրաշալիորեն համադրում էր դրամատիզմն ու կատակերգությունը, ով միաժամանակ և ուրախ էր, և տխուր: Այդ ամենի հիանալի դրսևորումներն են «Մեր մանկության տանգոն» ֆիլմում Ռուբենի դերակատարումը, «Հին օրերի երգը»-ում Նիկոլի, «Նվագախմբի տղաները» ֆիլմում Արսենի, «Եռանկյունի»-ում Գասպարի դերակատարումն ու այլ շատ դերեր, որոնց բոլորին էլ հայ ժողովուրդը վերաբերվում է առանձնահատուկ ջերմությամբ:  Նա նկարահանվեց «Կովկասի գերուհին», «Միմինո», «Ալի բաբ ան և քառասուն ավազակները» ֆիլմերում, որոնցում խաղացած դերակատարումները գնահատվել են պետական բարձր պարգևներով։

Մկրտչյանի գործընկեր և ընկեր Սոս Սարգսյանի խոսքով՝ նա փոթորկի պես է ներխուժել թատրոն: «Միանգամից սկսել է խաղալ մեծ դերեր, դարձել հանդիսատեսի սիրելին: Ֆրունզիկը բեմում մեծ տոն էր: Նա զարմանալի մարդ էր»,- Սոս Սարգսյանի խոսքերն է մեջբերել «Ռոսսիյսկայա գազետա»-ն: 

«Կյանքն ամեն րոպե, ամեն վայրկյան թատրոն է»,-մի առիթով ասել է Ֆրունզիկ Մկրտչյանը : Մեծ դերասանը մահացել է 1993 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 29-ին։ Գյումրիում գործում է Մհեր Մկրտչյանի տուն-թանգարանը, որտեղ կան հարուստ նյութեր դերասանի կյանքի, ստեղծագործության ուղու վերաբերյալ, ինչպես նաև նրա անձնական իրերից:
