«Գլոբալ մասշտաբով ծայրահեղ աղքատության պայմաններում ապրող մարդկանց թիվն ավելի քան կիսով չափ կրճատվել Է՝ 1990 թվականի 1,9 միլիարդից 2015 թվականին մինչեւ 836 միլիոն:  

Առավել մեծ առաջընթացը ձեռք Է բերվել 2000 թվականից հետո»,- ասված Է զեկույցում: Ըստ որում այն մարդկանց թիվը, որոնք պատկանում են աշխատող միջին դասակարգին եւ ապրում են օրական չորս դոլարից ավելի գումարով, 1991 թվականից մինչեւ 2015 թվականն ընկած ժամանակամիջոցում գործնականում եռապատկվել Է: Զարգացող երկրներում մարդկանց այս խումբը կազմում Է աշխատող բնակչության ընդհանուր թվի շուրջ 18 տոկոսը: Զարգացող երկրները նաեւ զգալի հաջողությունների են հասել սովի դեմ պայքարում. այդ երկրներում թերասնվող մարդկանց բաժինը 25 տարում գրեթե կիսով չափ կրճատվել Է՝ 23,3 տոկոսից մինչեւ 12,9 տոկոս: 

«Մինչեւ 5 տարեկանում մանկական մահացության ցուցանիշները 1990 թվականից ի վեր ավելի քան կիսով չափ կրճատվել են՝ հազար մարդու հաշվով 90-ից մինչեւ 43 դեպք: Մայրական մահացության մակարդակը նվազել Է 45 տոկոսով»,- նշված Է զեկույցում: Հաջողվել Է զգալի հաջողությունների հասնել մալարիայի, ՄԻԱՎ-ի եւ այլ հիվանդությունների դեմ պայքարում: Այսպես, զեկույցի համաձայն՝ 2000 – 2013 թվականներին ՄԻԱՎ-ով վարակման նոր դեպքերի թիվը կրճատվել Է 40 տոկոսով՝ 3,5 միլիոնից մինչեւ 2,1 միլիոն, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը
