  Բնակչության համաշխարհային օրվա կապակցությամբ Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղար Պան Կի Մունը կոչ է արել պետություններին պարտավորություն ստանձնել մարդու իրավունքների ոլորտում ցայտուն արդյունքների հասնելու համար: Արմենպրեսը ներկայացնում է հուլիսի 11-ին Բնակչության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի ելույթն ամբողջությամբ:

«Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի ավարտից ի վեր ամբողջ մոլորակում երբեք այսքան շատ մարդ հարկադրված չի եղել լքել իր տունը: Այն պայմաններում, երբ հակամարտության կամ աղետի պատճառով փախուստի դիմած շուրջ 60 միլիոն մարդ կա, հատկապես խոցելի են կանայք ու դեռահաս աղջիկները: Մոլեգին ծայրահեղականները եւ զինված խմբավորումները սարսափելի բռնություններ են գործում, որոնք հանգեցնում են տրավմաների, անցանկալի հղիության, ՄԻԱՎ-ով վարակման եւ այլ հիվանդությունների: Ամոթը եւ պատասխանատվությունն ուղղակիորեն այն հանցագործների ուսերին են, որոնք փոքրոգի ճակատամարտ են մղում անմեղ էակների մարմինների դեմ:

Այս կանայք սոսկ զոհեր չեն: Նրանք հույսեր ունեն, ծրագրեր եւ ներուժ՝ կարեւոր ներդրումներ կատարելու մեր ընդհանուր ապագայի կերտման հարցում: Մենք պետք է հաստատակամորեն պաշտպանենք կանանց առողջությունը, այդ թվում նրանց սեռական եւ վերարտադրողական առողջությունը եւ արտակարգ իրավիճակների հետեւանքների վերացման գործողություններում նրանց կարիքներին լուծում տանք առաջնահերթ: Միաժամանակ, մենք պետք է անդադար առաջ մղենք կանանց մարդու իրավունքները՝ թե՚ անհանգիստ, թե՚ խաղաղ ժամանակներում, որպեսզի նրանք կարողանան օգնել դադարեցնել համակամարտությունը, դիմագրավել հնարավոր հարվածին եւ նպաստել հետեւանքների վերացման աշխատանքներին, ինչի կարիքն այնքան ունեն պատերազմից բզկտված հասարակությունները:

Մինչ Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպությունն այս տարի նշում է իր 70-ամյա տարեդարձը, եկեք ուժ ստանանք մեր հիմնադիր առաքելությունից՝ հույս ու աջակցություն տալու ամենից խոցելիներին: Բնակչության համաշխարհային այս օրը ես հորդորում եմ երկրներին պարտավորություն ստանձնել հասնելու ցայտուն արդյունքների, ինչը 2015 թվականը կդարձնի համաշխարհային գործողության ժամանակաշրջան՝ առաջին պլան մղելով մարդկանց, որպեսզի նրանք օգնեն կառուցել դիմակայունություն, խաղաղություն եւ կայուն բարեկեցություն ապագա սերունդների համար»:
