ՖԻՖԱ-ի ձերբակալված փոխնախագահ Ջեֆրի Ուեբն ազատ է արձակվել 10 միլիոն դոլարի գրավի դիմաց, գրում է Ведомости-ն: Ազատ արձակման պայմանների համաձայն նա ԱՄՆ հետաքննությունների դաշնային բյուրո է հանձնել իր անձնագրերը և պետք է գտնվի Բրուքլինում ԱՄՆ դաշնային դատարանից 32 կիլոմետրից ոչ հեռու ընկած տարածքում: Նրա տեղաշարժերին հետևելու է հատուկ էլեկտրոնային սարքը:

Դատարանում պաշտոնյան իրեն մեղավոր չի ճանաչել կաշառք վերցնելու մեջ: Քննիչների կարծիքով՝ 24 տարվա ընթացքում նա ստացել է մոտ 150 միլիոն դոլար ֆուտբոլային մրցաշարերի հեռարձակման իրավունքներ տրամադրելու համար: Ուեբը արտահանձնվել է ԱՄՆ հուլիսի 16-ին:

Մայիսի վերջին ՖԻՖԱ-ում մեծ կոռուպցիոն սկանդալ է տեղի ունեցել, որը նաև կապված է եղել ֆուտբոլի աշխարհի առաջնությունների ընդունող երկրների ընտրության ժամանակ կաշառք ստանալու հետ: Կասկածի տակ են հայտնվել 2018 և 2022 թվականների համար Ռուսաստանի և Քաթարի ընտրության գործընթացները:

Ֆուտբոլի աշխարհի առաջնությունների անցկացման մասին որոշումների ընդունման գործընթացում տրված հնարավոր կաշառքներին վերաբերող հետաքննությունը սկսվել է մայիսին՝ ՖԻՖԱ-ի 7 պաշտոնյաների ձերբակալումից հետո:

Մայիսի 27-ին Ցյուրիխում ձերբակալվել էին կազմակերպության մի շարք բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ: Նախագահի պաշտոնում վերընտրվելուց օրեր անց՝ հունիսի 2-ին, ՖԻՖԱ-ի ներկայիս ղեկավար Յոզեֆ Բլատերը հրաժարական էր տվել։

Ընդհանուր առմամբ կոռուպցիայի մեջ մեղադրանքներ է առաջադրված 14 նախկին և գործող պաշտոնյաների: ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարության տվյալներով՝ 24 տարվա ընթացքում նրանք կասկածվում են ավելի քան 100 միլիոն դոլարի չափով կաշառք ստանալու մեջ:
