Երբ 2007թ-ին «Թաթա» պրոդյուսերական կենտրոնը «Համազգային աստղ» նախագծով շուրջ 12 երիտասարդ երգիչների ներկայացրեց և ճանապարհ հարթեց հայկական երգարվեստ մուտք գործելու համար, նրանց շարքում էր նաև Ջոնի Կարապետյանը, ով Life.panorama.am-ի այսօրվա զրուցակիցն է:

-Արդեն բավական ժամանակ է, ինչ ԱՄՆ-ում եք, որոշե՞լ եք վերջնականապեսհաստատվել այդտեղ և համալրել մեր սփյուռքահայ երաժիշտների շարքերը:

-Այո, արդեն տասը ամիս, է, ինչ Միացյալ Նահանգներում եմ, իհարկե, ժամանակավոր, անժամկետ, վերջնականապես հաստատվելս միայն Հայաստանում կլինի:

-Հետաքրքիր է՝ ինչո՞վ եք այդտեղ զբաղված, ի՞նչ գործունեություն եք ծավալում: Ինչե՞ր ենառաջիկայում սպասվում:

-Այստեղ զբաղվում եմ նույն աշխատանքով, ինչ-որ Հայաստանում՝ երգում եմ: Երեք նոր երգեր ենք ձայնագրում այս շրջանում, որոնք մինչև տարեվերջ կթողարկվեն, իհարկե, կլինի նաև նոր տեսահոլովակ:
