Աշխատանքային այցով ԱՄՆ-ում գտնվող ՀՀ գյուղատնտեսության նախարար Սերգո Կարապետյանը հուլիսի 21-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել ԱՄՆ գյուղդեպարտամենտի (USDA) քարտուղարի տեղակալ Մայքլ Սքուզի հետ: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ գյուղատնտեսության նախարարության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի բաժնից, հանդիպման նպատակն է եղել քննարկել Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ գյուղդեպարտամենտի աջակցությամբ իրականացվող ծրագրերն ու նախանշել առաջիկա համագործակցության հնարավոր ուղղությունները:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում կողմերը կարևորել են հատկապես կենդանիների բրուցելյոզ հիվանդության դեմ պայքարի և դրա կանխարգելմանն ուղղված միջոցառումների իրականացման անհրաժեշտությունը: Այս համատեքստում հատուկ անդրադարձ է կատարվել բրուցելյոզի ազգային ծրագրի մշակման նախապատրաստական աշխատանքների, բրուցելյոզի ազգային վերահսկման և արձագանքման ռազմավարության մշակման, պատվաստումների նպատակահարմարության, գյուղատնտեսական կենդանիների համարակալման և հաշվառման իրականացման և մի շարք այլ հարցեր:

«Հայաստանում այսօր արդիական է կենդանիների բրուցելյոզ հիվանդության դեմ պայքարի արդյունավետ միջոցների կիրառումը, և այս հարցում մենք բարձր ենք գնահատում ԱՄՆ գյուղդեպարտամենտի աջակցությունը և փորձի փոխանակման միջոցով համագործակցությունը հայ մասնագետների հետ», - նշել է իր խոսքում նախարար Սերգո Կարապետյանը:

Նախարարն ընդհանուր ուղղություններով ներկայացրել է նաև ՀՀ գյուղատնտեսության ոլորտում արձանագրված վերջին զարգացումները, ոլորտի աջակցությանն ուղղված պետական ծրագրերն ու դրանց արդյունքները:

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են նաև Հայաստանի գյուղատնտեսության բնագավառի տարբեր ճյուղերում USDA-ի օժանդակությամբ վերջին տարիներին իրականացվող համատեղ ծրագրերը, ինչպես նաև Գյուղդեպարտամենտի աջակցությամբ Հայաստանում հիմնադրված Ագրոբիզնեսի ուսուցման կենտրոնի (ATC) ու Ագրոբիզնեսի և գյուղի զարգացման կենտրոն հիմնադրամի (CARD) գործունեությունը: 

Անդրադարձ է եղել նաև գյուղատնտեսության ոլորտում Հայաստանի մասնավոր խորհրդատվական համակարգի զարգացման անհրաժեշտության հարցին:

Զրույցի ավարտին կողմերը վերահաստատել են պատրաստակամությունը ընդլայնել Հայաստանում իրականացվող ծրագրերի շրջանակը` ելնելով ոլորտի առաջնահերթություններից:
