Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջ համաձայնության ֆոնին, Մերձավոր Արևելքում ծավալվում են նոր և հետաքրքիր զարգացումներ:

Օրեր առաջ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագավոր Սալման իբն Աբդուլազիզ ալ-Սաուդը հանիպել է Պաղեստինյան ՀԱՄԱՍ խմբավորման բարձրաստիճան քաղաքական ղեկավարների հետ, ինչն ակտնհայտորեն ցույց է տալիս, որ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի նոր թագավորը պատրաստակամ է աշխատել իսլամիստական կազմակերպությունների հետ, ովքեր երկար տարիներ ունեցել են թշնամական հարաբերություններ:

Սաուդյան Արաբիայի արքայական ընտանիքին մոտ կանգնած վերլուծաբանները նշում են, որ նման հանդիպումը արտացոլում է Սալմանի վճռականությունը՝ հնարավորինս շատ և արագ խմբավորել արաբական աշխարհը թագավորության գլխավոր մրցակցի՝ Իրանի դեմ: Փորձագետները նշում են, որ Սաուդյան Արաբիան խիստ անհանգստացած է վերջին շրջանում Իրանի շուջ ծավալված իրադարձությունների վերաբերյալ, մասնավորապես Իրանի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցների վերացման համաձայանգրի առնչությամբ:

Հիշեցնենք, որ հուլիսի 14-ին Վիեննայում Իրանի և ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի հինգ մշտական անդամների ու Գերմանիայի միջև կնքվեց պատմական համաձայնագիր, ըստ որի Թեհրանը պարտավորվել է ձեռք չբերել, չստեղծել միջուկային զենք, 2/3-ով կրճատել է իր ցենտրիֆուգների թիվը և թույլատրել է Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալությանը ստուգումներ անցկացնել իր միջուկային կենտրոններում: Փոխարենը՝ Իրանի նկատմամբ դեռ 1995 թվականից սահմանված պատժամիջոցներն աստիճանաբար հանվելու են:

Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագավոր Սալմանի հանդիպումը տեղի է ունեցել Մեքքայում, որին ներկա էր ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի քաղաքական առաջնորդ Խալեդ Մեշալը: Այս հանդիպումը ուշագրավ երևույթ էր նախորդ թագավոր Աբդուլլահի կառավարման տարիներից հետո, ով իր կառավարման ընթացքում փակել և արմատախիլ էր արել «Մուսուլմանական եղբայրության» կազմակերպությանն ու դրան հարող բոլոր ճյուղավորումները:

Սակայն Սալմանը, ի հեճուկս նախորդի, ուղերձ է ուղարկում Պաղեստինյան ՀԱՄԱՍ խմբավորման առաջորդներին՝ նշելով, որ ցանկանում է աշխատել «Մուսուլմանական եղբայրություն» կազմակերպության հետ և նույնիսկ իր ջանքներն է փորձելու ներդնել՝ ՀԱՄԱՍ-ին Թեհրանից հեռացնելու նպատակով:

Փորձագետները նշում են, որ ամենավերջին բանը, որը կարելի էր ակնկալել Սալմանից՝ Խալեդ Մեշալի հետ հանդիպումն էր: Թագավորական ընտանիքին մոտ կանգնած փորձագետը հավելում է՝ «ամբողջ տարածաշրջանային միջավայրն է փոփոխության ենթարկվում»:

Աղբյուրը հավելում է, որ իրանական դաշնակիցները պետք է գործ ունենան անմիջապես տարածաշրջանում և հանդիպումը բնութագրվում է, որպես՝ «համապարփակ ռազմավարություն՝ հակազդելու իրանական ազդեցությանը»:

Սալմանի այս քաղաքականությունը նպատակաուղղված է ձևավորել հետաքրքրությունների լուռ դաշինք Իսրայելի, Եգիպտոսի և այլ արաբական հարևանության երկրների շրջանում ևս՝ ուղղված Իրանի դեմ:

Գործնական հարթակում Իրանի և Սաուդյան Արաբիայի հակամարտությունը արդեն իսկ դրսևորվում է Եմեն-ում, որտեղ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի աջակցությունը վայելող Իսլամական ուժերը պայքարում են Իրանի կողմից սպասարկվող խմբերի հետ:
