Արևմուտքի` Իրանի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցների վերացումը Հայաստան-Իրան հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացման վրա կարող է միայն դրականաորեն ազդել: Միայն թե Հայաստանը պետք է ճիշտ օգտագործի իր աշխարհագրական դիրքը և ժամանակին ուսումնասիրի իրանական շուկան: Նման համոզմունք հայտնեցին տնտեսագետ Վիլեն Խաչատրյանը և քաղաքագետ Լևոն Շիրինյանն «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում` անդրադառնալով հայ-իրանական հարաբերությունների զարգացման հեռանկարներին և ինտեգրացիոն պրոցեսների ազդեցությանը երկկողմ կապերի ընդլայնման գործում:

«Իրանը կարող է Հայաստանի տնտեսության համար լուրջ դերակատարում ունենալ, և հայերն էլ պետք է փորձեն օգտվել իրենց աշխարհագրական դիրքից, որպեսզի գտնվեն տնտեսական զարգացումների կենտրոնում:  Պատժամիջոցների վերացման հարցերը, կարելի է ասել, իրենց վերջնական հանգուցալուծումը չեն ստացել և որոշակի առումով պատժամիջոցները կարող են կրկնվել»,-նկատեց Վիլեն Խաչատրյանը: 

Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանը Հայաստանի անդամակցության ազդեցությունն ու Ռուսաստանի վերաբերմունքը  հայ-իրանական հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացմանը ևս կարող են շահեկանորեն նպաստել երկկողմ կապերի ամրապնդմանը: Իրանը, ըստ տնտեսագետ Վիլեն Խաչատրյանի, հակված է ուժեղացնելու իր առևտրատնտեսական հարաբերությունները ԵԱՏՄ-ի հետ: Իսկ Ռուսաստանը Իրանին, որպես իրեն մրցակից չի տեսնում, քանի որ Հայաստանը տնտեսապես անկայուն վիճակում է, և Իրանը Հայաստանին կարող է աջակից լինել:

Իրանական շուկայի լուրջ ուսումնասիրությունը, քաղաքագետ Լևոն Շիրինյանի դիտարկմամբ, կկանխի շտապողականությունը` թեև այն նկատվում է երկու կողմում էլ: «Ըստ էության, Իրանի հետ հարաբերությունների կարգավորման ուղղությամբ միայն  մենք չէ, որ շտապում ենք: Այնպես որ, պետք է  շատ պրոֆեսիանալ կերպով աշխատել: Իրանը  մշակութային առումով շատ յուրահատուկ երկիր է, հին քաղաքակրթություն: Սա ստանդարտ եվրոպական երկիր չէ, առանց Իրանի քաղաքական և հոգևոր մշակույթն  իմանալու լուրջ արդյունքների հասնել հնարավոր չէ»,- ասաց քաղաքագետը:

Շիրինյանը կարծում է, որ Իրան-Հայաստան հարաբերությունների զարգացումը Հայաստանին կարող է տնտեսական լուրջ զարգացումներ բերել, իսկ Իրանի համար դառնալ պատուհան դեպի քրիստոնեական աշխարհ:

Վիենայում հուլիսի 14-ին Իրանը և միջազգային «վեցյակը» վերջնական համաձայնության են եկել Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի ևպատժամիջոցների վերացման վերաբերյալ: ՀՀ-ում Իրանի դեսպան Մոհամմադ Ռեյիսին այս առնչությամբ նշել էր, որ ձեռք բերվածհամաձայնությունը կարող է մեծապես նպաս տել հայ-իրանական տնտեսական նախագծերի կյանքի կոչմանը, ավելին` եթեպատժամիջոցները չլինեին, ծրագրերը վաղուց իրագործված կլինեին: Իսկ հայ-իրանական երկաթգծի կառուցման մասին դեսպաննասել էր, որ այն տարածաշրջանային կարևորություն ունի, և կյանքի կոչվելու դեպքում  Հայաստանը  կդառնա տարածաշրջանայինտարանցիկ միջանցք, այլ կերպ ասած` Հայաստանը կդառնա նաև կապող օղակ Սև ծովի և Պարսից ծոցի միջև: Արևելյան Ասիայիցև Իրանի հարավային հարևաններից Հայաստանի միջոցով փոխադրումներ կիրականացվեն դեպի հյուսիսային երկրներ:
