«Օգոստոսին, ավանդաբար, Հայաստան են հրավիրվում արտերկրում աշխատող մեր բոլոր դեսպանները, և մի քանի օր տևող հավաք է ընթանում, որի ժամանակ նրանց առաջիկայի հետ կապված հրահանգներ-հանձնարարականներ են իջեցնում: Բայց այս օգոստոսը դիվանագիտական առումով թեժ է՝ նաև կապված մի քանի երկրներում դեսպանների սպասվելիք փոփոխությունների հետ: Մասնավորապես, օրակարգում է Ռուսաստանում և Բելառուսում ՀՀ դեսպանների ռոտացիայի հարցը: Բանն այն է, որ Օլեգ Եսայանից վաղուց դժգոհություններ կան, բացի այդ, նրա պաշտոնավարման ժամկետը լրացել է, և ենթադրվում է, որ նրան հետ կկանչեն: Թեև չի բացառվում նաև, որ նշանակեն Բելառուսում ՀՀ դեսպան՝ Արմեն Խաչատրյանի փոխարեն:

 Մենք մայիսին գրել էինք, որ ՀՀ Աժ նախկին նախագահ, Բելառուսում ՀՀ դեսպան Արմեն Խաչատրյանն առողջական խնդիրներ ունի և շուտով պաշտոնանկ է արվելու: Լավատեղյակ աղբյուրից տեղեկացանք, որ նրան երիկամի փոխպատվաստում է արվել, ինչը հաջող է անցել: Նրան փոխարինողի հարցը կախված է Ռուսաստանում դեսպանի նշանակումից, այս տեղի համար թեժ պայքար է գնում: Ընդ որում, դեսպանի թեկնածուներից մեկն էլ Հրանուշ Հակոբյանն է, ում կամ Բելառուս, կամ որևէ արաբական երկիր կտանեն: Իսկ նրա փոխարեն սփյուռքի նախարար կնշանակվի մի քանի ամիս առաջ փոխնախարար նշանակված Վահագն Մելիքյանը՝ ԵՊՀ արևելագիտության ֆակուլտետի երկարամյա դեկան Գուրգեն Մելիքյանի որդին, ում հետ Սերժ Սարգսյանը շատ մտերիմ է: Վահագն Մելիքյանն Արգենտինայում ՀՀ դեսպանն էր, սակայն շատ կարճ պաշտոնավարեց՝ 2014-ի դեկտեմբերին իր տեղը զիջելով Ալիկ Հարությունյանին»,–գրում է թերթը։
