Պարզապես ժամանակի ընթացքում Սուրբ Աստվածածնի վերափոխման տոնն ու խաղողի օրհնությունը համատեղվել են

Վաղը` օգոստոսի 16-ին, Հայ առաքելական սուրբ եկեղեցին կնշի Սուրբ Աստվածածնի վերափոխման տոնը, որը Հայ եկեղեցու հինգ տաղավար տոներից չորրորդն է և Տիրամորը նվիրված տոներից ամենահինը: Այս տոնը հայ հավատացյալների ամենասիրելի տոներից մեկն է: Ըստ ավանդության՝ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի համբարձումից հետո Մարիամը 12 տարի երկրային կյանք է ունենում եւ միայն հետո մահանում: Ըստ նույն աղբյուրի՝ Աստվածամայրը 12 տարի ապրել է Հովհաննես առաքյալի խնամատարության տակ եւ մի օր լուր է ստացել Գաբրիել հրեշտակապետից իր մոտալուտ մահվան մասին.

«Ուրախացի՛ր, բերկրյալդ կանանց մեջ, քանզի քեզ կանչում է մեր Արարիչը, քո միածին որդին»: Ստացված բարի լուրի մասին Մարիամը հայտնել է Հովհաննեսին եւ խնդրել նրան պատարագ մատուցել, որպեսզի ինքը ստանա իր վերջին հաղորդությունը եւ իր մահվան մասին հայտնի բոլորին: Հաղորդությունից հետո Աստվածամայրը 11 առաքյալների հետ վերադարձել է տուն: Մահից առաջ Հովհաննես առաքյալը նրան մի տախտակ է տվել եւ ասել. «Տու՜ր մեզ քո պատկերը»: Մարիամը վերցրել է տախտակը, խաչակնքվել եւ դրել երեսին, թրջել այն իր արտասուքով եւ Աստծուն խնդրել, որ այդ տախտակի միջոցով ամեն հիվանդություն բժշկվի: Այդուհետ պատկերը մնացել է տախտակին:

Մարիամի թաղման արարողությանը ներկա են եղել բոլոր առաքյալները՝ բացի Բարդուղիմեոսից: Նրա մարմինը ամփոփվել է մի քարայրում եւ մուտքը փակվել մեծ քարով: Բարդուղիմեոսը մի քանի օր ուշացումով է եկել եւ մյուսներին խնդրել է բացել Աստվածամորը գերեզմանը, որ ինքը հրաժեշտ տա: Տապանը բացելուց հետո տեսել են, որ մարմինը այնտեղ չէ` փոխադրվել է երկինք: Ահա այստեղից էլ եկել է տոնի` Աստվածածնի վերափոխում անվանումը: Ս. Աստվածածնի տոնի վերեփոխման տոնին համընկնում է մեկ այլ տոն` խաղողօրհնեքը: Նույն օրը պատարագից հետո կատարվում է նաեւ խաղողօրհնեքի արարողությունը: Ինչպես աշխարհի տարբեր ժողովուրդների, այնպես էլ հայ ժողովրդի մեջ ավանդաբար պահպանված սովորույթ կա հասունացած առաջին բերքը զոհաբերել Աստծուն կամ տաճարին, հնում զոհաբերել են խաղող եւ ցորեն: Հոգեւորականները նշում են, որ տոնը մեծ խորհուրդ է կրում: Մարդիկ պետք է իրենց ծառերից բերքը հավաքեն եւ բերեն եկեղեցի: Նշենք, որ Սուրբ Աստվածածնի տոնը եւ խաղողօրհնեքի ծիսակատարությունը որեւէ առնչություն չունեն, պարզապես ժամանակի ընթացքում տոնն ու խաղողի օրհնությունը համատեղվել են:
