«Ավրորա» մրցանակը միանում է Մարդասիրության համաշխարհային օրվա իրադարձություններին եւ սատարում այն ընդհանուր առաքելությանը, որը կոչված է արժանին մատուցելու եւ հիշատակելու մարդասիրության ոլորտում դերակատարություն ունեցած, իրենց կյանքը վտանգի ենթարկած մարդկանց, ինչպես նաեւ խրախուսելու մարդասիրական աշխատանքը: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին «Հայաստանի զարգացման նախաձեռնություններ» (IDeA) հիմնադրամի հանրային կապերի բաժնից:

««Ավրորա» մրցանակի միջոցով մենք միանում ենք Մարդասիրության համաշխարհային օրվան՝ հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելու նրանց, ովքեր իրենց կյանքը նվիրել են մարդկանց ծառայելուն, եւ կարեւորում ենք ամբողջ աշխարհում բարեգործական աշխատանքի ազդեցությունը: Այսօր բոլորիս համար առիթ է՝ մի պահ կանգ առնելու ու ճանաչելու այն անհատներին, որոնց խիզախ գործողությունները գոյատեւելու հնարավորություն ընձեռեցին այլ մարդկանց»,-ասել  է «Ավրորա» մրցանակի համահիմնադիր Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը: Գործարարի խոսքը հիմնված է անձնական փորձի վրա: Նրա պապը չէր վերապրի Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, եթե նրան փրկած չլիներ սեփական կյանքը վտանգելու քաջություն ունեցած մեկը:

Մարդասիրության համաշխարհային օրն ամեն տարի նշվում է օգոստոսի 19-ին՝ ի հիշատակ 2003թ. այդ օրը Բաղդադում ՄԱԿ-ի կենտրոնական գրասենյակում մահապարտների կողմից իրականացված ահաբեչության, որը 22 աշխատակցի կյանք խլեց: Զոհերի թվում էր նաեւ Սերխիո Վիեյրա դե Մելոն, որը ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի մարդասիրական հարցերով տեղակալն էր եւ Արտակարգ իրավիճակներում օգնության համակարգողը: Նա կյանքի երեք տասնամյակը նվիրել էր աշխարհի՝ պատերազմից բզկտված, ավերակված տարածաշրջաններում խաղաղության հաստատման ու փախստականներին օգնելու գործին:

««Ավրորա» մրցանակը նպատակ ունի արժեւորելու այն բացառիկ ներգործությունը, որ ունեցել են անհատները՝ մարդկանց կյանքը փրկելու ու մարդասիրական արժեքներն առաջ մղելու հարցում՝ իրենց ճանապարհին հաղթահարելով բազում մարտահրավերներ: Մենք խրախուսում ենք անհատներին ու կազմակերպություններին թեկնածուներ առաջադրել, որպեսզի հանրության սեփականությունը դարձնենք անհատների աներեւակայելի մարդասիրական աշխատանքը, որը, շատ հաճախ, բոլորովին աննկատ  է մնում»,- ասել է Նուբար Աֆեյանը՝ «Ավրորա» մրց անակի համահիմնադիրը:

«Ավրորա»  մրցանակի համար թեկնածուների առաջադրումները կարող են կատարվել մինչեւ 2015 թ. հոկտեմբերի 1-ը:
