Արձանները ցանկացած երկրում քաղաքային լանդշաֆտի անբաժանելի մասն են հանդիսանում։ Երբեմն արձաններ կանգնեցվում են լրիվ անսպասելի կերպարների պատվին, ինչպես, օրինակ, հավաքարարն է կամ էլ կատուն։ Բրոնզաձույլ քանդակների են արժանացել նաև հեքիաթային այնպիսի պերսոնաժներ, ինչպիսին ջրահարսն ու Գնդիկ-բոքոնիկն են, սակայն առավել հաճախ ամենամեծ արձանները կանգնեցվում են ակնառու քաղաքական գործիչների ու աստվածների պատվին։ Նման մոնումենտները դառնում են տվյալ քաղաքի խորհրդանիշը, իսկ երբեմն էլ՝ զբոսաշրջության համար տեսարժան վայր։ Ձեզ ենք ներկայացնում աշխարհի տարբեր ծայրերում գտնվող 14 ամենակոլորիտային ու տպավորիչ արձանների ցանկը։
