Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին օգոստոսի 25-ին տոնում է Սբ Հովակիմի և Աննայի՝ Սբ Աստվածածնի ծնողների և Յուղաբեր կանանց հիշատակության օրը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից, Սուրբ Հովակիմի և Աննայի անուններն անմիջապես կապվում են Հիսուսի հետ, քանի որ նրանք Աստվածամոր ծնողներն են:

Ըստ ավանդության, բարեպաշտ և մեծահարուստ Հովակիմը Դավթի ցեղից էր՝ թագավորական տնից, իսկ Աննան՝ քահանայական տնից: Մի օր տաճարում ընծա մատուցելիս քահանան Հովակիմին պատվիրում է վերջում կանգնել, քանի որ նա անզավակ էր: Սրանից վշտացած` Հովակիմը դուրս է գալիս և անմիջապես լեռը բարձրանում՝ երդվելով չիջնել այնտեղից, մինչև Աստծո այցելությունը: Նրա օրինակով Աննան էլ տանը ինքն իրեն աղոթքի և ապաշխարելու է նվիրում: Եվ մի օր, երբ Աննան պարտեզում տեսնում է իրենց ձագերի հետ խաղացող թռչուններին, տխրում և լաց է լինում, քանզի ինքը զրկված էր մայրանալու շնորհից: Այդ պահին Աստծո հրեշտակն այցելում է նրան` հայտնելով, որ Աստված իրեն մանուկ է շնորհելու, ով աշխարհի փրկիչն է լինելու: Նույն տեսիլքը երևում է նաև Հովակիմին, որն ուրախությունից սկսում է ողորմություն բաժանել աղքատներին: Ծնողները որոշեցում են իրենց մանկանն ընծայել Աստծուն: Ծնված հրեշտականման մականն անվանում են Մարիամ, որ նշանակում է «լուսավորյալ»: 

Յուղաբեր կանայք ականատեսներն են Հիսուսի չարչարանքների, թաղման և խաչելության: Նրանք Տիրոջ Հարության առաջին ավետաբերներն են: Յուղաբեր կանայք Քրիստոսին հետևեցին Իր ողջ երկրային առաքելության իրագործման ընթացքում: Եկեղեցու կողմից նրանք կոչվում են «Յուղաբեր», որովհետև Միաշաբթի (Կիրակի) առավոտ գերեզման փութացին՝ Հիսուսի մարմինն իրենց պատրաստած անուշահոտ յուղերով օծելու: 
Իրենց անձնվիրության շնորհիվ նրանք առաջինը տեսան Հարուցյալ Փրկչին և այդ մասին հայտնեցին առաքյալներին: Նրանք նաև խմբովին ներկա էին Վերնատանը՝ Հոգեգալստին և առաքյալների հետ ստացան Սուրբ Հոգու շնորհները: 

Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին Սբ Հովակիմի և Սբ Աննայի տոնը նշում է Յուղաբեր կանանց հետ, Վերափոխման իննօրյակին հաջորդող երեքշաբթի օրը:
